Illinois is young but I'm not surprised with how tough they played Iowa tonight. Parchment had a great game and Illinois' 3 point shooting in the second half was insane.

The other thing with Illinois is that they've lost several key players to injury this season. Most recently was Dolan who is a crafty guard. With a healthy roster, they could be even more dangerous.

Last night's game is another example of why I've been enjoying watching the middle of the pack in the BIG10 this year. Like our good friend Plebe would say, "There are no nights off" in the conference this season. 😉

If anyone has the power to inadvertently let the cat out of the bag, it's you, sir! We managed to find ways to have terrible, double digit losses to near conference bottom feeders like Georgia Tech and Miami, so I'm taking nothing for granted these days!
 
South Dakota St. thumped rival South Dakota 82-49. Puts the Jacks 2 games ahead of the Yotes in the final conference standings, although they are 1 game behind Champion North Dakota St.
 
Whoa! Gonzaga was up 4 very late in their game against Portland. Somehow it went to OT and UP won by 1. That means LMU wins the WCC regular season outright. Give Aarika Hughes COY, they came from nowhere to claim the title.

Hmm. That FT disparity from game 1 in Durham appears to have flip flopped. Who was it that said "Wait til the return game in Chapel Hill?" Couldn't have been me could it?
 
VA Tech was up BIG early @ UVa. Cavaliers came storming back, took a lead. Hokies up 1 w/ 1 second left.

edit--and it's a final, VT wins, finishes 1 game ahead of their in-state rival in the standings; Wenzel w/ 29 pts

Is LSU really scarier than other potential #2 seeds? UConn has taken on all comers so far this year, don't see why LSU is a terrifying potential opponent. By the Regional Final you're gonna be playing a good team no matter what.

Also I don't think UConn fans are allowed to root against Vandy because of Ralph. It's in the bylaws.

Yes, LSU has more talent than the other two seeds. And they have Mulkey. In a one game scenario; you should be concerned about running into their “A-game.”

They share the title but Duke gets the number seed in the ACC tournament
 
Well they've lost to Kentucky and Vandy, as well as Texas and South Carolina. They aren't all that as far as I can tell.

Yeah they have talent, it's all on the perimeter, and several of the players are fairly mercurial. They are just as capable of their C or lower game as their A game.

Pittsburgh is one of the worst power 5 teams in the country. And I have been rooting against this coach since he backed out of the Aaliyah Edwards homecoming game in Toronto.
