Week 17 - Feb 23 to Mar 1

USC was a 7 seed per ESPN's brackets, so the loss probably drops them to 8 or 9 - Penn State is bad - 4-13 in their own conference. I bet that pushes USC to 8 or maybe even 9 seed. In the path of a 1 seed in the 2nd round.
Hopefully not Uconn. Not that I'm concerned, but it would be the 3rd year in a row, and the committee is supposed to try to avoid that.

Plus we already faced them. Not a fan of being the top overall seed looking at LSU in the elite 8. Michigan and Iowa especially are weaker. The committee needs to operate based on the S curve and do away with the conference avoidance nonsense (IMHO).

Some huge games in the ACC for those close to the bubble and for ACC tournament seeding. Clemson vs Cal. Chapel Hill vs UVA, Syracuse at ND

If anyone wants a good lunch or a fantastic dinner .. lemme know. Trust me

Vols have now lost 8 of 10 right? If only some of us had predicted something like this was coming...

Dangerous game for Villanova tonight. It’s almost like the big east commissioner needs to make a call to seton hall to remind them what is at stake.
Seton Hall got the memo. They are laying down tonight.

We really destroyed Tennessee’s spirit, huh?
They lost to Miss St by 15 at home the game before that matchup and pretty much dimmed the anticipation for the game

Ole Miss on the verge of a bad loss at Flordai
And it happens when Tianna Thompson goes 7-11 from the 3 point line. Ole Miss doesn't have much success from there. Wild to me.

Just got me thinking, w/ Blakes, Juju and Hidalgo all in the midst of their careers, they could all be 3000 point scorers. They're on pace. Those don't just grow on trees.

Does Blakes score 30+ points every game, or does it only seem that way?
6 of last 7 games

Looks like 11 for the season. Guessing that's a Vandy record. She's probably got a very good shot at school record for single season most points too.

Uh oh Iowa is in a bit of trouble. Illinois is a really hard team to figure. But they are hardly alone in that department in the B1G. All these middle of the pack teams are capable of beating just about anybody else, other than UCLA. But also capable of losing to a bottom feeder.

Tenn is still a tourney lock if they lose out?
Yes--their metrics are still good enough. They can't finish below 0.500 in the SEC.

Mississippi state another loss. I will say it again. Don’t invite them to the tournament.
They will host LSU on Sunday. A loss puts them at 5-11 in the SEC. They're out.

TX (the team I always say can't shoot) so far at 71% team fg shooting.🧐

I did a little research on Stanford. None of the 8 players on the floor tonite v SMU are seniors. Everyone will be back plus nice recruiting class.
( Who wins next yr Stanford all back v UCLA losing everyone? )

Wow, didnt realize they had that many seniors.
Return Betts, Gardner, and 3 others plus add 1 recruit. They'll load up in the portal.

Duke puts BTA to F$U 80-52. The score was 33-29 (Duke led) at the half. With the victory, the mighty blue devils clinch the #1 seed for the ACC tournament
