Week 15 - Feb 9 to 15

Or maybe I don't even need advanced stats. Chavez had 2 TOs.

I wasn't blaming her. I remember when Uconn played OU in the sweet 16, The announcers talking about their turnovers and how many are unforced. I think it was Rebecca, saying with Chavez coming in, that should help. I don't know if she was repeating what the coach said. It's obviously more than just bringing in a good/great point guard.

OU with 22 turnovers... They said the turnovers would go down with the addition of Chavez.
This is a theme for OU and Jenny going back to her big 12 games

Dynamic offenses but very very very poorly coached and disciplined teams playing defense and taking care of the ball

Until they fix that they’ll just be another middle of the road team. They’ll struggle much more once beers leaves

The real travesty is that the #4 Texas at #5 Vanderbilt game isn't on a commercial network and has otherwise been relegated to SECN+. How in the hell is Texas A&M @ Kentucky chosen for the 6:30 SECN slot over a top 5 matchup!!!! 🤬 Somebody make it make sense -- we need to be roasting ESPN on every social media outlet over this issue and tagging all of the big names in our sport to speak out about this!

There is absolutely no way that a top 5 SEC matchup on the men's side wouldn't be on the primetime slot for ABC or ESPN. They talk about growing our game and equal representation, and then do $@#& like this.....SMDH. I'm so angry over this!

The TV schedule was locked in and announced in early October, I believe. And, I think every program is guaranteed to be on SEC TV (versus streaming) a certain number of times. Men's TV schedule is also predetermined prior to the season.

And nobody thought of Vandy as a top 5 contender when schedules were made.

This must have been either one awesome defensive display or neither team could throw the ball in the ocean. Might be worth looking up on ESPN+.

Not sure it matters one way or the other if it's accurate that all programs must appear on SEC TV a certain number of times. If the pre-season Top 10 national teams from the SEC were given more air time, then that would mean less for the other 60% of the conference. I could be wrong.

I agree. But the SEC should look at putting the Projected top 6 on ABC, espn and/or the SEC network whenever the are matched up. That leaves plenty of airtime for games that don’t have two of the top six on the loser ranked platforms such as espn2 and ESPNU and the streaming channel,

I did like the “outside the box games like the two Monday and the one scheduled for Saturday night on ABC,

Iowa ends the 3-game skid with a good win vs Washington. Perhaps that will stop the free fall the Hawkeyes have been in.

UConn and WV with 50-pt wins, while UCLA up 25+ on #13 Mich St in the 3rd.

Stinking Huskies. Scored 25 points in Q1, then scored 31 combined the rest of the way. 19 TOs, they just love giving the ball away. And 2 FTs the entire game. I honestly don't think Langley is any better at X's and O's than Wynn was, she just has managed to recruit better players. But they certainly don't reach their full potential, especially on the offensive end of the court.

I hope you took my advice re: Washington. Just missed the spread, lost by 9. Probably too late to place a bet, but take UCLA and the points! Up 29 midway thru Q4.

I just remembered Iowa had a "get well game" against Washington last year, too. That's not cool Hawkeyes, I didn't agree to being treated this way.

Neither team played that well. Amazing how big the chasm is between the top 3-4 teams in the NCAA and the rest of the hopefuls. You just don't expect any surprises in the Final 4. There'll probably be one shocker, but it'll be an ugly game.

My High Point Panthers are in a bad place. Blew a 14 point fourth quarter lead and lost to the Lancers of Longwood 75-73 in OT. Dropped to 10-2 in conference, while Longwood improves to 9-2.

I bet against Sparty and Washington, unfortunately Utah spoiled the party 😞. So looks like it will be a Peanut Butter and Jam sandwich for lunch today

Hmmmmmm....interesting take. Another middle of the road team?

This is her 5th season. She won 2 big 12 championships and never finished worse than 4th place in the big 12 or the SEC. Also, she took over a team of players that never won more than 12 games prior to her arrival on campus. Yes, TOs have been high...partly a part of their offense and partly due to their roster. I'd argue she has done more with less than any of the teams that finished above them the last 4 years. I'm sure you realize that the roster was not full of the most athletic kids the past few years.

End of Year AP Ranking
Year 1. #22
Year 2. #16
Year 3. #21
Year 4. #11. - Sweet 16
Year 5 # ?

Definite struggle this year even though they are still ranked #10 and beat South Carolina. They have reduced their TO rate by 3 this season, still not good....but their biggest struggle has been depth. They have 3 upperclassman that play and all others are underclassman. If this team can learn to play together they can still have a high ceiling this year. If they don't, they wont.

Saw many of her games at Drake; the woman can coach. Her system is fun to watch but does sometimes lead to disjointed team D. The MVC doesn’t get the athletes that she can get in the SEC so her Drake teams passed the ball more, which was fun to watch. I think the Sooners could try a little more of that but Oklahoma has a keeper at coach.

Vandy vs Texas being hidden behind a paywall is malpractice, that game should be on SEC Network at the minimum, certainly over Texas A&M vs Kentucky
You’re not enjoying KY 16-0 start? Now 22-5.
Maybe yiu can watch and marvel at Joni Taylor getting huge bags full of money to do this badly. If only we all could be so well compensated for doing awful work.

I’m shocked TAMU has won 2 conference games. They’re bad.
