Week 14 (Non-UConn)

Pitt's defense is atrocious both in execution and stupidity. Beyond leaving receivers wide open, a Pitt DB got himself two unsportsmanlike penalties on 3rd downs in the red zone, giving Miami automatic first downs, leading to a three score lead.

It's now a rout.

The bright side is that last night my wife said her former season tix seats were available for $145 each. So I saved $290 by saying "hell no"
Pitt deserves ACC. Both are terrible. I find it funny that SMU with a win tonight will be in the ACC championship game 2 years in a row. Doing this with no conference revenue.

Never tire of watching Vols get pasted.
Vandy dominates 2nd half and wins 45-24.

Trailed 21-14 at one point; then 31-3.

If Oklahoma is what a playoff team looks like, then they just shouldn't have a playoff. Hell, Alabama should be penalized for losing to them as well as FSU.

They are one school I just totally forget about now. They used to be a top 10 football program. Now an afterthought.

The Sec and Big told them they need to tank a few seasons before they can join the P2.

West Virginia lost to TT 49-0 today, worst home loss since 1891. I wonder if they miss the old BE.

To be fair to WVU; they hung on to the Big East as long as was reasonably possible. Furthermore, they showed us a lot of respect the year Jazz died.

Of all the former Big East members, they're the only ones that I want to see make it out okay...

Tbf SMU is well versed in paying players so doesn't surprise me even with no money from the ACC

I believe they were the first team we played after Jazz died. They had banners saying "We are all Huskies today." That was moving and appreciated.

That loss to Florida is worse than any Miami or ND loss. Texas wins also aren't that much better than ND or Miami's to outweigh the fact that they have a worse record
Texas wins aren't better? Texas has two wins against teams in the playoff: A&M and Oklahoma.

What is Notre Dame's best win? ND has U$C and Pitt? Vandy is better than those teams giving Texas 3 better wins than anything ND did.

Reading comprehension is hard. I said Texas wins are not that much better to overcome the Florida loss.

I tend to think of Virginia Tech in much the same way.

Oklahoma is terrible. Maybe terrible is too strong of a word, but Bama handed them a game with turnovers, and the officials handed them the Auburn game. The team they had out there against LSU today looked like a trashbag of a team. Texas is better than them and should have beaten them as they did. That Florida loss is bad though, should almost count as two losses. I like what Texas has, but 3 losses is 3 losses.

Oklahoma has no offense. But they have to count as a quality win as they are a certain playoff team and only one loss (Texas).

Texas was just the unfortunate team (at a point in the season when they had no offense) to catch Florida in that one game they actually played close to their talent.

I have no great argument FOR Texas being added (and 3 losses is 3 losses). They just have better resumes than either Notre Dame or Miami (or most teams, frankly and I'm not a big believer in Texas).

It should be Miami because they beat Notre Dame.

Then BYU beats Texas Tech next week and none of this matters.

In retrospect, that Florida loss was the perfect storm for Texas. Florida had not yet really folded up for the season, they were at home, and Manning could seemingly do nothing right. Texas definitely looks far better today than they did then.
