Newton was better on paper. Spears wasn’t this good as a freshman.
That and his defense. If DH took Primo over Newton, we wouldn't have experienced Newton's first few games, then his regression, so that wouldn't be in our memory banks. Instead, this board would be full of critiques of Primo's consistent poor decision-making and sloppy play, because that's just who the BY is.
It’s true. But we really need someone who can create offense when the set breaks down. I think our staff would reign in some of his sloppiness as well.If DH took Primo over Newton, we wouldn't have experienced Newton's first few games, then his regression, so that wouldn't be in our memory banks. I never thought they were too good this year, closed out some earlier games they really had no business winning. Self isn't playing his highly ranked freshman so they lack depth but the one thing they have over UConn is they have a go to player. Well, they also have Self so it's two things.Kansas has the similar problems we do. Their starting center is 6’7” and doesn’t rebound. They have a bench that is giving them way less than what we get from our bench. And they only have 1 guy (Wilson) who can create his own offense. It may finally be catching up to them. They had been on the right side of 4 one-possession games in conference play. Their record could very easily be looking like ours right now
Self can't coach I guessKU just lost at home by 23. their 2nd loss in a row.
But wait, they play 4 out, so they must win right? LMAo. McCormack isn't walking through that door. And we're actually not that similar. Their guard play is much better than ours, and Sanogo is much better than Adams. difference is Wilson and Dick are miles ahead of AJax and Karaban.Kansas has the similar problems we do. Actually the guard play is the problem right now. None of the three guards is making shots, they are slumping and so they stopped shooting. So defenses are basically guarding just the front court guys. So the struggles look a lot like UConn‘s right now. Defense was awful today too, but the main issue is no offense from the guards, so they are easy to defend. Adams is a heck of a player, but he’s overmatched playing center against some teams. But wait, they play 4 out, so they must win right? LMAo. McCormack isn't walking through that door. CCSU 58 LIU 424-17 Central Connecticut is a 7 point favorite on the road. I know they are playing LIU, but that is a big number for CCSU.
Every week I’m so impressed by UMass Lowell.
Down goes #1 Houston, at home, to Temple. Loses 56-55. Houston had a couple of chances at the end to win it but Temple came up big.
