Week 12 - Jan 22 to 28

The day turned cloudy this afternoon

Before conference play started, I thought Arizona St. had a legit shot to go winless. Boy was I wrong. Just beat Cal, now 2-7. That's still last, but much exceeding expectations and they are in a position where they could actually jump ahead of a few other teams.
Wake Forest Pitt and BC eagerly anticipating the arrival of SMU and Cal

Kiltey was bad. VT can't afford to have off nights from her or Amoore in general

Yeah, I was surprised by Kitley’s bad performance. I didn’t think Syracuse was doing anything special defensively, she just couldn’t get anything going.

Oregon State is giving Utah a beat down after 3 quarters. 78-40. Almost doubled up. Beers and Gardner ae both having monster games
Looks like Rees is thumbing her nose at her former team and Hansford is 4-4 from 3 off the bench.

This year OSU has a number of players who have stepped up at different times, you never know who is gonna have a big game for them.

Got to hand it to Vandy, they played SC tough for 1/2 the game. They should feel good about that.
Very true. I'm still watching cuz they are still competing. It is pretty impressive. Cardoso was great in this game, one of her better performances this season.

And shout out @LoTrader . Oregon State really is impressive. And they play pretty unselfish.

Watkins 7-25 w/ 6 TO.

She's going to have those kinds of games mixes in with brilliance.
She's been shooting poorly in almost every conference game, the difference today is that she didn't get to the FT line.

Between this game and their game against Washington, I have a hard time coming to any conclusion other than Lauren Betts is the single most important player to her team in the country.
How do you explain her getting benched against Utah and the Bruins were better when she wasn't on the floor?

Oregon outscored Colorado 37-30 in the second half to make the score respectable, but the Ducks are in a world of hurt.

Wow, Donovyn Hunter must've really got going down the stretch for Oregon St. Finished w/ 17 pts/10 assists, I didn't even notice her stats earlier in the game. 91-66 final.

Washington desperately needed that. Had lost 6 of 7 coming into the game.

How do you explain her getting benched against Utah and the Bruins were better when she wasn't on the floor?

Dunno. I just know they looked bad without her Friday and are getting creamed at home today.
