Washington-Purdue was one of the cleanest games I can ever remember seeing. Hardly any fouls, very few stoppages of any kind, was barely aware of the officials being on the court. And it wasn't because of "let them play" approach. Just wasn't much in the way of overly physical play, none of the constant hacking that you see so often.

You're not gonna give your pal Tina credit for a dominating win?

Is this a program low for Purdue? They used to be an elite program.

Hey, I haven't called for her to be replaced all year so far. The games they've won, the offense looked really good. I'm happy with that. I think Illinois is a decent team, otherwise they've been beating the bottom teams in the B1G. Need to beat some other decent teams. They have Iowa, Indiana, Maryland and USC coming to Seattle. They need to win several of those.

So both the Jacks and Lopes win on the road after trailing. Big differences in the comebacks however. After a slow first quarter the Jacks take control and dispatch Portland State without much difficulty.

For the Lopes, a replay of the Abilene game, the Lopes struggled in the first half, before riding their defense to a comeback in the fourth. GCU played without three point specialist, former UNLV Reb Durazo-Frescas (the Lopes hit no threes in the game) win a close one. The road is relentless and rough, but GCU runs their streak to 15 with a gutsy win.

Abilene had no trouble with the Lancers so GCU sits alone at the top of the WAC. The Lopes will be favored in all remaining games, two against CBU.

Versyp had a couple bad seasons -- 11-20 (3-15) in 2015 and 7-16 (4-14) in her final season of 2021 -- but this year does seem the worst. So far 0-7 in B10 and the closest game was a 16-point loss to Oregon.

Luckily (?) for them the cellar of the Big Ten is not exactly a lonely place, so they'll have at least a few chances to win a game. Their first 3 gams of February are Wisconsin, Rutgers and Northwestern.

This afternoon Arizona schools finished their sunflower state trip and I'm guessing both will experience losses. The probability that ASU continues trudging toward another 20 loss season with a loss today approaches 100%.

Well the kitties while underdogs (5 points) always provide an enigma when thinking about their game. Will those players respond to Barnes? Does Barnes know what she's doing? Inquiring minds really want to know. I do always think of Green Acres and Eddie Albert when reflecting upon the kitties.

Wow - in checking Massey to inform my pregame comments on the Arizona schools defeats in the Sunflower State this afternoon I noticed they have a very very close game with the Trojans at Indiana. that's kind of surprising to me. I would guessed a double-digit victory for USC.

USC at Indiana on nbc
Is this the first WCBB on nbc in 40 years or did they have some games last year?

I don't understand the Wildcats. They were in their 1st Final Four and National title game 4 years ago. They had some pretty solid players on roster since then. I thought they were a team on the rise. I guess Coach Barnes couldn't build on that FF momentum.

Neither does Barnes.

Stanford is a hard watch this year. They've got so many issues that I lost count. And yes, coaching is one of those issues.

Good to see Kara and crew taking care of business! Ashlon Jackson is leading the way.

Stanford getting blowed out.

LSU only up 4 on Fla at half.
USC looks like it will hang on at Indiana
