Furious Oklahoma St. rally comes up short. Quick lesson to be learned: you can't wait for 3 quarters before you decide to finally start playing. That is a BAD loss.

@Plebe if you were concerned about someone throwing the SMU-Pitt game, I'm gonna need you to investigate what is happening between Oklahoma St. and Houston. There is no way a ranked P4 team can possibly be trailing the Cougars by 17 points is there?
Houston wins.

Down to 8 P4 teams winless in conference.

Obviously the same cell of $MU operatives tied to an international crime syndicate who masterminded the farce in Pittsburgh have also succeeding in infiltrating Stillwater, Oklahoma in order to orchestrate this implausible turn of events. Amirite, @TheFarmFan ?

THERE'S my Huskies. Shooting 22% and getting run out of the gym 25-9 @ Michigan.

Weird stuff going on. SMU had a scoreless quarter recently. After jumping out ahead of West Virginia, Colorado had a 2 point 2nd quarter. That's really hard to pull that off.

.-.
All of the BiG/ACC coaches who have to take looong flights for a road game ... and lose ... need to record a video.
Blame it on the Plane
Best lip syncers of all time?

Yeah, well, UW has been in Michigan since probably at least Saturday, so I'm not sure if I'm going to give them that excuse. They did warm up eventually, but Michigan is warmer and already had a sizable lead.

82-69 final Michigan wins. After a really chilly start, Huskies end up shooting 47%. Couldn't make up that big early deficit. Sellers had 30. Unfortunately it seems like UW doesn't do well most of the time when she goes off, maybe because it's a fairly good indication the rest of the team is struggling. Although Ladine and Stines had 16 and 15. The rest of the team however combined for 8.

West Virginia cruised past Colorado 73-46. Q2 was 16-2 and Q4 24-6. If Colorado hadn't decided not to show up for even numbered quarters, it might've been a good game.

Stinker of the day: Western Michigan over Toledo 41-38. That's a final score. Twelve points was the highest anyone scored in any quarter.

Blame it on the Plane

Blame it on the plane that was flyin', flyin'
Blame it on the rest that didnt come that night
What ever you do, don't put the blame on you
Blame it on the plane
Yeah, yeah

Come on and blame it on the plane
Cause the plane don't mind
And the plane don't care
You've got to blame it on something
Blame it on the plane, yeah yeah

Penn St. didn't roll over and play dead against UCLA. More competitive than they were against USC.

edit--come on, trying to make a liar out of me; final margin was 16, but it was a 9 point game w/ 3+ minutes left.

Nice double header of ranked teams going against each tonight on the ACC Network with ND-Georgia Tech and Duke-California.

The Duke-California match up should be a lot of fun. My first opportunity to watch them was during the Thanksgiving tournaments and they can give teams fits. Duke's defence better be ready for it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I saw that GT won't have a key player tonight. Is that correct? How much will this hamper them? I haven't watched much of them this season.

And the tradition continues (in Jim Nantz's voice). ;)

In fairness, looking at the boxscore, foul trouble could explain the final margin. Gabby Elliott fouled out and she was one of Penn State's primary scorers.

Penn State played well, led after 1 quarter, survived the UCLA onslaught in the 2nd, and didn't lose composure in the 3rd, and was absolutely making a game of it until the Bruins decided to put the clamps on in the final minutes. It may have been their 7th straight loss, but that team is capable of taking somebody out.

Like the ASU Sun Devils.

Looking at various scores, I couldn't help but wonder when Quinnipiac and Fairfield will finally meet. Not til 1/30. Then again on the last day of the regular season. A few more teams could be in play, but it seems like those 2 games will decide the MAAC champ.

Wake Forest made it interesting at the end, but Stanford hangs on for their 2nd ACC win. 24 off the bench for Tess Heal, that's gotta be her best game as a Card.

Georgia Tech on a 3 game slide. Not that they were expected to beat Notre Dame.

Virginia beat Virginia Tech. The Hokies are hard to figure out.

edit--it was in Blacksburg, that's a really bad home loss

I think they are an okay team. But the big wins they got were at Georgia Tech and at Miami. And those two teams might have lost every game since. Georgia Tech was fool’s gold.

UVa is actually 3-3 in conference now. Other than ND, I just have no idea what to think of anyone in the ACC.

Somebody forgot to tell Illinois that they aren't supposed to win any games with all their injured players out. About to take down Indiana.

Verlhurst is on the verge of putting up a 40 piece for Oklahoma. Needs 1 bucket and has more than 5 minutes left.

Tough night for my Spartans of UNC-G..... went down Interstate 85 and got their brakes beaten off by the powerful Terriers of Wofford...62-39 :(

There was a good finish to the Nebraska-Iowa game brewing, then I got distracted by a phone call. Well, we're in OT now.
