Wednesday. Biggest game in Hartford since when?

Just a heads up to those heading to the game tomorrow night. I just fell flat on my butt trying to figure out a route from Constitution plaza to the arena. The city has not cleared the walkways at intersections or even the area around the walk buttons. I don’t understand. The storm was basically on a weekend. There was nobody coming into Hartford yesterday and it seems pretty empty today so clearing should not be an issue due to traffic.

Early bird, eh? 😉

😀 No, just we park at my wife’s building and walk to the arena from there. I was so sore from all the snow shoveling yesterday and didn’t work out at the gym at lunch today. So I wanted to take a walk just to get some fresh air and keep moving after staring at three computer monitors all day.

The importance of this game is that it's another chance to avoid the possible disaster of losing three times to St. John's and finishing the season with no championship of any kind. It is entirely possible, even likely, to finish 32-6 this year and never hoist a trophy -- not a pre-conference tournament title, not the BE regular season title, not the BET, not an NCAA regional. UConn right now looks pretty shaky for a post-season run. It is a big, big deal to beat Paterno Wednesday night and hold on to at least a piece of the BE regular season..

Reminds me of the Kerry Kittles game in 1995. My 3 buddies and I had season tickets first row behind the basket in front of the UConn bench. Walking outside Gampel a guy with 3 about 12 year old boys asks us where are seats were, we told him, offers us $1,000.00 for each ticket. That’s $4,000.00 for all four. We said no. Then Kittles totally torched us.
I was there. Hated Kittles for decades!

Beating Paterno will never happen. Not this year, not ever.

With the closing of the Olympics MCBB is getting more attention in the national media. Even shows like PTI are talking about this game along with the Big12 and Big10. Huge opportunity for UConn tonight. The only game tonight featuring two top 20 teams.

True but since it’s still February, those that purchased Peacock for the Olympics have a chance to watch. But you’re correct, it is a missed opportunity due to Peacock. I don’t even think of going out to watch the game.

The same promotion for hockey and was told that pizza shouldn't have been advertised because it wasn't part of the promotion.
they always manage to get something wrong! 😐

They can't finish worse than 3rd and are close to at least wrapping up 2nd place, but beating STJ would put them in the driver's seat for first place and get them back on track as March quickly closes in. It is a big game vs a top 20 opponent, but I wouldn't say the biggest beyond maybe this year or the last two.
What's the tie breaker if UConn and St Johns tie for first?
