Man, it's nasty in Fort Lauderdale: light mist and a chilly 65 degrees! Next time I'm looking to avoid the cold, I'll head back to Maui. The weather at the golf tourney in Kapalua looked damn nice this weekend.

Sorry for being obnoxious, but it's ingrained. I'm headed home to DC tonight, delayed by 3.5 hours. It's a chilly 18 in DC, but I understand it's barely above 0 for many of you. Be safe and stay warm!

I'll track the game on the BY and ESPN.com while trying to wait patiently at FLL.

Thanks. I'm looking at 3.5 hours late, getting home at 1 AM. I'm retired, with no plans tomorrow, so I can chill. In 18 degrees, definitely chill.

I likewise have controlled urges to discuss the temps as I took down outside Xmas decorations today - um 70; or when I went to the indoor track last week (January 2nd) and passed the softball tryouts going on in the attached park - somewhere in the 60's. In fact, the temperature at night is in the 40's, so it isn't hardly tropical, but . . .

The thing is, it was only 3 years ago that I lived in NJ - for my whole life - so I remember it well and hope all of you are warm and safe in the wintry weather throughout the season.

My original flight was supposed to leave at 7:50. We are now leaving at 10:34 and arriving in Hartford at 1:30.

When will you be at FLL and what gate? I'm on Jetblue.

Never got above 55 in Boynton Beach.

I'm praying my car will start after five days in an outdoor lot.

Where I am, not too bad. I think many folks new of the delays and waited to come. But one restaurant is running out of food.

I was in Kapalua last weekend, it was very nice. If you ever go, attend the Kumulani church service there on Sundays (non-denominational).

golf courses won't allow play on frozen greens - damages the very short, fragile grass.

I left my office early because of the snow. It took me 35 minutes to get on I-95 usually a 7 minute ride. It took 2hours and 20 minuites to get home usually a 25 minute ride. My windshield wiper broke on the way home. Wow what a nite.
