Weeeellllllll, looks like this year's frosh will be sophomores playing lots of minutes next season. Unless Geno starts only three players. No need harangue about Geno not playing his bench ... his bench will be his starters and rotation.

This sucks! She cannot believe she is a finished product. Yikes!

When Lou started getting fouls then put Walker in for a couple minutes. Get a feel for the game because when he needed to put Walker in when Lou had 4 it was too late to do so. He is becoming too risk averse. It was sad to see him make those crazy decisions and no one on that bench challenged it. I mainly follow uconn for his leadership skills and that game was not a good display of them. Nothing will change until he decides to do a post mortem and see the issue and I fear his personality will not allow him to truly be introspective. The dynasty is over if he doesn't take a step back and analyze the issues of the past 2 years and make some changes. You just can't win it all these days with 5 players.

Geno tends to be risk averse. I’d like to see him gamble a little more—when the situation calls for it.

If there are recruiting issues going forward I don't think prospective players worrying about going to the big tournament is one of them... ..what will continue to be an issue is that you simply have to work much harder at UConn then anywhere else....nothing new about that..the other biggie which was made more obvious this past season....freshman simply don't play major minutes at UConn unless they come in performing at an almost All American level (and I mean college AA)...now that is a big deal for many...pretty daunting for 99+% of high school recruits...almost every other Top 20 program utilized some of their freshman this past season due to injury or by choice......can Geno still count on getting those fearless few that are willing to risk not seeing court time?....that's a real question..

Win, lose or draw...I bleed blue. With that said, I believe UConn will win again, and I believe it will be more than once.

I would have never imagined the Boneyard becoming like VolNation...but I think we're on the cusp of doing just that. While I'm at it, might as well steal a motto from the LadyVols of past and make it going forward for UConn...."Grind for 12"! :rolleyes:

It strikes me that Geno is not exactly the best game-day coach out there. He's very good in that regard, but not outstanding, at least not at this stage in his career.

If my life depended on winning just one game, I'd much rather have Muffet do the scout, come up with the strategy, and then coach the team from the sidelines that day.

In most all other aspect, Geno is probably the greatest basketball coach who has ever lived.

Really, you must not value your life much.

In the biggest game of the year, NC, McGraw is 2-4. Geno is 11-0. Head to head Geno is 35-12. Now in Semi's she' very good, 6-1. While Geno isn't quite as good, but still winning. 11-8.

But hey, it's your life. :confused:

It just seemed to me that Samuelson, our best player and consensus All American, should have taken more than 3 shots in the second half( she made 1). I think she had 13 points in the first half And she did not take a shot in the overtime! How come? Notre Dame's vaunted defense? Playing hurt? Any screens set? I thought she was out of the flow of the offense, this for perhaps the best offensive player in the country. Whose fault is that? Just my opinion that I think of her as UConn's go-to player, so it's puzzling to me that they didn't go to her. Any thoughts?
