Yes. Letting our opponents shoot 34.9% from 3 puts us in the bottom third nationally. That's 1.05 points per shot, probably 1.2 points per possession. Very poor.
I doubt we'll still be there at the end of the season. Getting Castle back, Clingan back, and playing Diarra more will help.
These things usually balance out by the end of the season, but it's definitely not a great number right now.
One thing i've noticed is that a couple schools shot way over their head from 3 against us this season:
Ark PB- 40%
Seton Hall- 37.5%
New Hampshire- 48.1%
Manhattan- 44.4%
Kansas- 64.3%
Butler- 47.1%
This is like 40% of the games we've played. I watched all these games (as im sure you all did), and i seem to remember thinking that teams were just incredibly lucky to be hitting these shots that they never make against anyone else. It's not like we're leaving shooters open all over the floor. Kansas averages 36.9% on the season, and nearly DOUBLED that against us !
Or maybe i'm just biased, and i assume every time someone hits a shot against us they must be lucky.
