I have never seen a coach squander good fielderly position like this guy. These 1st down runs with Shirreffs are asinine. He is content with 2.5 yds on 1st n 2nd down time after time.

This UVA team got smoked on D by Richmond. Only a Diaco led offense could make em look like the 86 Bears.

Don't ever hire a defensive minded Coach again.

When someone posts this ... You immediately check the time stamp.

We won. 3 games we underwhelmed in the first half. 3 games Bryant Shirreffs looks solid in the 4th. 3 games won on the last play.

I'm not 100% Diaco. But I admire his energy ... and those kids play to the end.

The team is much better physically conditioned and prepared to play football than before Diaco showed up. Unfortunately the game day coaching is what has remained the same. Bad decisions, indecisions and poor game management.

They do play hard for him. They are well conditioned but the in game coaching continues to mind numbingly stupid. Always super conservative then with two minutes left when you should run, you roll out the QB who throws an incomplete that a defender got their hands on. That allowed UVA to not spend a time out.

There are just bad decisions on a weekly basis with the clock running out.

The scanning machine was broken in the line I was at. Wonder if they estimated or if there were actually more than the 31k.

Yea, my ticket didn't scan, they just told me to go, so it's at least 31037

I was in the stadium an hour early, with my 13 and 14yo nephews and 4 of their friends. We were standing at the concourse railing and I was trying to give them a little history of The Rent. Every 15 seconds we were told we couldn't stand there and had to keep moving.

I hate to b^ch about the "security" because I know it's been beaten to death here but that s^ts getting ridiculous.

Same thing happened to me,and that was a half hour before the game started.

I love the lil benches around the concourse that no one is allowed near. Saving those for handicapped or the pope or
Obama?

I thought there was around 34,000. The corners were spotty but the place looked pretty full to me.
I agree. Visual scan there were no sections that were vacant (though 2 friends and I had a row in 219 to ourselves). These two attendance numbers thus far have me wondering if they stop counting too soon. I'd had said 31k for Maine 34k UVA

You guys must look sketchy... 45 minutes before game waltzed through Gate A (only two out of 3 tickets scanned) and sat on small bench w/ a Hooker Beer behind section 140 w/o an issue.

You make a very good point. Those kids pi^sed me off all day with their stupid headphones and baseball hats with unbent brims.

Punks! Get behind the red line!

They announce the number of tickets they disributed - rest easy.

I'm not talking about tickets scanned,we're talking about security telling us to move along when it's 30 minutes before kick off

Anyone who believes we are no better than 14 does not understand football. We lost to the worst team in the country in 14. We are making progress. Having said that, I question whether Diaco believes we can be a true p5 team -- I'm worried he believes we are a G5 developmental program that should win by not losing. I don't believe he feels we have the talent to win games. Worse, I think he's recruiting kids who he thinks could be good, not great after 4 years under his development.

We need to get better at lying about attendance. Easily a USF 35k today

With Lew Perkins in the house today, that's a solid 38,000.

But we're better than we were in 2014.

We do not have P5 talent on the offensive line, which it turns out is one of the places you need to have it.

Love the last sentence. Couldn't agree more.

Our receivers are P5. So are some of our corners. Johnson was a big time recruit. And as we saw Saturday not every P5 program has P5 talent. I would argue that Kansas BC Vandy Indiana, Washington State Iowa State are all programs that it could be argued don't have P5 talent.

Other than stadiums being legal required to have defined #s of accessible seats for physically challenged individuals, including injured military veterans both young and not so young alike, few reasonable people question why such seats exist.
