Gators were a not too horrible team with a couple of decent upsets that probably sent an advanced o when firing their coach.Oh wow, is Marquette in any of these tourneys? There have to be some teams that said no thanks.
I was surprised not to see them in either tourney as well.Oh wow, is Marquette in any of these tourneys? There have to be some teams that said no thanks.
I have to disagree. I'm not surprised that Marquette isn't participating in any of the tournaments.I was surprised not to see them in either tourney as well.
Curious as to why from your perspective.I have to disagree. I'm not surprised that they (Marquette) isn't participating in any of the tournaments.
According to their main blogger (didn't know if I could link it here, so I didn't), the second part of the season has been marred by deafening silence regarding program status updates, mainly the dismissal of an assistant coach and the lack of discussion (and confusion) regarding their postseason fate. Fans are still trying to figure out why the season ended so abruptly without any explanation.Curious as to why from your perspective.

Whut?! 74-26, how is that even possible?Saint John’s embarrassed the big east. Good lord.
To make it even wilder, John's beat (a then ranked) Oklahoma State earlier this season. That's definitely a study in contrasts.Whut?! 74-26, how is that even possible?
The Red Storm had three of a kind -- 4 points in a quarter -- in this game, with a whopping 14 as the one time they reached double figures. Amazingly. only two Lions scored in double figures. But everyone, not surprisingly, got into the action. BTW, Riley Weiss, who scored 22 points and is from Long Island, is the kind of player that St. John's used to be able to recruit, but now she's at an Ivy...and thriving. Really nice player.Whut?! 74-26, how is that even possible?
