I'm aware of this because it affected my drive home tonight - I live in LA and drive on freeways that go by the Rose Bowl.

Rolling Stones | Rose Bowl Stadium

How the hell are these guys still touring? Mick Jagger is 76 years old and he's still doing shows. Amazing. My dad is 11 years older and hated rock & roll his entire life. How many rock bands have toured into their mid 70s? They were in their mid 20s in 1969 - 50 years ago. I'm having a problem wrapping my head around this.

Anyway, I thought the music guys on the Boneyard might chime in.

What's amazing is they still actually sound good and can pack in stadiums. Some say Jagger's finally found the voice he always wanted to have.

By far my favorite band. I mean Ronnie Wood has been with the band for 45 years and he missed out on all these studio albums:

  • The Rolling Stones (1964)
  • 12 X 5 (1964)
  • The Rolling Stones No. 2 / The Rolling Stones, Now! (1965)
  • Out of Our Heads (1965)
  • December's Children (And Everybody's) (1965)
  • Aftermath (1966)
  • Between the Buttons (1967)
  • Their Satanic Majesties Request (1967)
  • Beggars Banquet (1968)
  • Let It Bleed (1969)
  • Sticky Fingers (1971)
  • Exile on Main St. (1972)
  • Goats Head Soup (1973)
  • It's Only Rock 'n Roll (1974)

Saw one of the shows at MetLife. Incredible energy and still sound good. Somehow Keith who looked like death warmed over years ago has aged relatively well. In the parking lot early and could hear the sound check (bonus concert)

This was from a few months ago when they took some time off for Mick's health and recovery.

Saw them at Giants Stadium too. Couldn't believe how Mick Jagger was moving around on stage. Fun night.

Saw them for the 1st time at the 2nd MetLife show. Really wasn't sure what to expect, but they were great. Hope I'm moving around like that when I'm Mick's age!

True story - Keith Richards is my friend's godfather. My friend is a guitar player from CT who I play music with. His father was Keith's guitar tech for 20 years and is still very close with Keith. My friend, and his father, hang out with Keith backstage at tons of Stones shows, including these recent Rose Bowl concerts.

I saw them on their Steel Wheels tour in Atlantic City in 1989.

I thought back then that I was lucky to have seen them in concert before they stopped touring...

Slayer is on their 18 month farewell tour now. I don’t think they quite made it to 40 years together

Rush recorded and toured with the same lineup for almost 45 years, which is insane.

Their 2019 Tour FB page has the art work and play list for each of the cities. Great stuff.
