Story will be that we swung and missed, but more a mutual decision by all parties to look elsewhere. Would have been nice, but think this will be better for us in the end.
IMO, Who Cares? I never expected him to come. I went to High School in CT, with a lot of kids who absolutely refused to consider going to UConn. Tremont strikes me as one of those kids. More power to him. We shouldn't overreact to this.
I know people will say this is sour grapes, but it's not bc I hadn't thought of him as an option until way late, and was always skeptical...but: I think he's gonna be an ok player but ultimately that will not help his career.
I don't think anyone on here in the last month or so expected Waters to come to UConn so no big deal. The second after I read where he said he didn't need to visit UConn because he had been there so many times I knew he wasn't picking UConn. The backcourt is fine for next season. They can address any backcourt needs in the 2018 class.
