Embarrassing end to our season. Our defense is terrible. Yes, the offense was bad, but getting run out of Fenway by Army is as bad as it gets.

Most of those 11 completions were at or behind the line of scrimmage (just three passes were completed 10 or more yards down field) as evidenced by the team's average yards per pass being below 5 yards... one was a batted ball that the receiver made a diving catch on for an 11 yard loss. UConn had negative passing yards until there was just over 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. He had 3 balls batted due to his throwing motion coming from a 3/4 - sidearm slot.

It wasn't good QB play, through no fault of Farrar's; he simply wasn't ready, but had to answer the call (and not having Bell to potentially break some of those short bubble screens as he did throughout the season didn't help). Now we move forward into the Candle era and hopefully Candle can take some of what he saw in the game and through the practices into creating the shopping list for the portal.

Exactly what you would have expected from a true frosh who had taken just a couple or 3 snaps all year, with both starting tackles out. Next year he will be a RS freshman. 7.6 yards per completed pass, longest was 28 yards to Reymelo Murphy which means that the average for the other 10 was 5.6 yards. They managed him so that there were no turnovers. Neither outstanding nor bad. What was expected under the circumstances. He may still be starting for UConn in a couple years, who knows. He did nothing to damage his future to put it that way. But since deception is the name of the game in football, he has to lose those orange shoes. Why would you want to draw attention to your feet if you are a QB?
