What I found weird is that at the top of the show they mentioned Baylor, ND, Stanford...and Tennessee? No UConn. It's not like UConn didn't show it could play with those top 3 this year.
I know that CRAP like this shouldn't bother me, but it PMO that they skipped one of the #1 seeds to feature TN, a #2, and I think that 2 was MORE than they deserved.

I think it is understandable that focus is on the very dominant players who are on the top teams: Griner, Diggins, the Ogwumike sisters and Delle Donne are the best examples. Very similar to recent years when Maya got so much attention. Likely similar to upcoming years when UConn expects to have Kaleena among several exceptionally talented players.

I just don't think that we have a strong gripe about consistent shortage of media coverage of our Huskies. Even if they didn't get it last night.

First I thought ESPN was trying to counter the UConn bias they've been accused of.

Next I thought maybe the committee was just giving PHS a number one seed as a retirement gift.

Then I shook off the paranoia.

All is well in Huskyland:)

Did they really talk about an "inconsistent Tiffany Hayes"? I must have missed that.
In 2004, the ESPN talking heads picked Penn State over UConn. After we dismantled PSU, Barb Turner noted in the interview their prediction as being part of the Huskies' motivation. Don't dismiss a team with BTX and Dee.

For the past few years they've highlighted Tennessee on the selection show, even though they haven't been very good, and some other team has been minimized. This year it was us.
