So the sales pitch to prospective coaches would be: "hey come to a Basketball school in a small New England State where high school talent is sparse and recruiting will be an uphill battle...and by the way, you better win in two years because we fire coaches who haven't had the chance to coach their first recruits as red-shirt sophomores. How could you dream of staying in your current position where you are a name on the rise and pass up on this opportunity?". Did i mention all of your local D-I neighbors play in power conferences? So as you can clearly see, 2 years is plenty of time!
They will be beating down the doors to get in line........ There is a reason you can count the number of BCS head coaches fired in less than 2.5 seasons on one hand. It is expensive and it sends a bad message to potential replacements.
Hey hey! Easy there with that common sense around here you might upset some people
