Solid game. Great comeback by Villanova but they couldn't get it done late. Siegrist played great in the third/beginning of the 4th but struggled down the stretch. Got a lot of star treatment from refs and cashed in at the FT line. Finished 2nd all time in single season scoring after Plum. Brilliant career for her if she decides to go pro after this.

Villanova down 3 threw it to a double-teamed Siegrist who missed the heavily contested 2. Perplexing.

If you insist on forcing it to Siegrist, at least have her shoot a 3.

Siegrist couldn’t buy a field goal in the second half. Hell of an effort by Villanova.

Siegrest finishes game with 31 points and 13 rebounds. She was a crucial part of the 20 point comeback that Villanova had. All the best to Maddie for the next phase of her career.

They played much better defense in the 2nd half, but their shooting let them down. As good as Maddy was, she missed several shots in the last few minutes. She needed help from someone else.

Villanova allowed way, way too many layups in the first half.
Made a nice half-time adjustment to clog up the middle some and make Miami shoot from the outside
to good effect.

If they would have made the adjustment after the 1st quarter, they might have won going away.

Columbia woman defeated Syracuse in a hard fought game to reach the NIT elite-8

Columbia tied Princeton in the Ivy regular season but lost to Harvard in the Ivy semi's and lost its chance to compete in the dance...They play Harvard tomorrow...

The Ivy is turning into a potent BB conference, scholarships or not.
