Defense played great.
All around bench contributions. 22-12-5
Offensive execution. High FG %. Only a few ill advised shots. Most of the scoring was made by running the plays through there duration.

I’m not one of them, but I’ll answer this anyway: they played like they did earlier in the season and looked the way we expect.

When they play like this, there should be many less “we’re not good” comments.

By far our best half of the Big East season. Typically a get right game is against a much weaker opponent but this felt like a get right game...

Our defense fell apart the last 4 games and it was great tonight. Ross is a huge difference maker on D, he needs to get consistent huge minutes from now on. We played physical and smart. No dumb shots from Solo. The bench which has been MIA overall for a long time was awesome tonight. Reibe played great and had the most impressive play of the season with his catch and finish. Jaylin with two timely threes. Malachi gave us good minutes.

Without all the unforced turnovers in the first half this would've been a beatdown from start to finish.

So happy with that performance.

Wouldn't even say we played particularly well, that was about a B game overall. And we easily beat a good Villanova team. This team is fine, the concerns from some people were unsurprisingly overblown

Oddly enough if UConn had to go 1-1 against Creighton and Nova, a throwaway WTF loss at home and a dominant road win would be the preference????

Best game by Malachi in a long time. UConn extended the lead and had the defensive kill stops with 3-4 bench players in the game.

I thought they finally played an A- game. The Bench stepped up big and it was great seeing four of them on the floor in the second half for that run. Defense was the difference!!!!

And totally redeemed themselves! Garbage ending made this game look a lot closer than it was. The offense should have had ten more than what they put up. Ross WTF pass to Reed under the basket showed his skittishness, but he had some straight up lock down posessions mixed with some completely blown assignments. Just keep feeding him minutes and hopefully he evens out.
Silas needs to understand that this is a completely different offense when Riebe is in. We missed Eric on so many rolls. Completely underutilized him in general. He was excellent, and showed really good hands.
Normally I would give a 40+ % 3pt shooter the green light, but heck if AK misses over the last two games really killed momentum.
Overall it's a game that Villanova had nothing going and shot most of their 3s at the end of the clock. I am sure they watched our tape, and were told to attack the rim with everyone. Glad they waited until 3 mins left to start doing that. Nothing glaringly bad, we still make too many self inflicted mistakes but good one to right the ship.

I liked the usage and shot selection from Ball much better tonight. Fewer higher quality looks is preferable. Wasn’t anything really forced tonight.
