Good game can’t ask for better situation

Tough loss. Winnable game.

I saw a lot of encouraging stuff. Stewart, Ross progressed. Samson with some fight for rebounds and moves in the paint. Solo flamethrowers. This team doesn’t quit.

Frustrating stuff too. Alex needs to be better. Aidan needed to build off last game & not regress.

Just too sloppy with unforced errors probably the biggest reason for the loss.

25 points at halftime. Another 5 minute scoring drought. It's tough to win doing those things.

We shot 54% and 37%.
What killed us TO’s and the points after along with the Ft differential of -10.
Tough way to lose.

I think we have a couple. We had three cracks at it, we just went to the wrong guy on two of them.

I'd argue the fact that we had three chances and blew all of them points to not having anyone to rely on in those situations....

He got hit on the hand..we got a foul finally called and the guy u figured game over..I'd rather lose by 20..

Shot 4 free throws the entire game, 2 were Alex's at the end. Road reffing continues to be a problem for us.

Love the guy but Hass is not the late in the clock/game guy. I know he wants to be but that’s just not him.

Had the guy on the line at the end you would want in that situation and missed both not what you would have expected.

Who is with McNeeley out? It's not Karaban either. Stewart maybe?

Lost the game at the line, literally - outscored 12-2, even though we shot the ball at a high %.

AK needs to go after that 2nd miss - cant just mope at the line like that. Inexcusable.

Well, we are definitely going to miss McNeeley the next several weeks! Need to stay in the Top 25 until he returns.

I love Solo's dependability in scoring. He's really starting to get some variety. Mid range and a couple drives this game. Him and McNeeley are our two best scoring options. Karaban is just going to remain the best role/support player we've ever had. Nothing is going to take that shine.

What is up with Mahaney being gun shy on passing to the open cutter. Does it at least once a game, most times multiple.

JStew proved once again to be an asset. Hopefully Dan Hurley will just pencil him in for 16-18 minutes from here on out.

The story of the game was the bad/unforced turnovers and Ball not getting enough shots in the first half.

The two missed foul shots will happen. There is no excuse for not following the second shot

That second shot seemed so far off like he tried to miss. But you're right, he needed to follow the miss.

With Liam, we win by 10+ pts.
AK is a system player, keep chin up, he will bounce back, GD, he is 2-time champ.

Bright spot is Jaylin. He belongs in the starting lineup, build him up.

Thanks for mentioning Jaylin! I agree - top notch tonight who looked perfectly comfortable against Dixon who was bailed out time and time again by the stripes.

And add Solo to the list,,,, He was awesome!

On the road. Good team. No McNeeley. We're okay.

That being said... we shot ourselves in foot giving up 40% from deep and with little mistakes at the rim.

Those free throws are going to overshadow a phenomenal performance by Stewart. He stepped up BIG TIME in his first start.

We don't have enough shot creation with McNeeley since Mahaney is in a different role. Without McNeeley we're reeling.

Worst call to me is when Dixon swings into the lane and lunges at Jaylin - whistle Jaylin?
That game was one sided for much of the game but we still had a chance to win it.

9 turnovers against 10 assists has a tendency to do that.

I agree - that shot was his to drain. Would have rather had the pressure on villanova.

If Diarra missed we could have fouled to extend the game.

The basketball gods are real. It wasn't a foul so they made Karaban miss both. He looked flustered all night, but he'll never miss those 2 FTs again

Credit to Nova in the first half. Our gameplan was to contain Dixon and dare the others to beat us, and nearly everybody stepped up to the challenge. We couldn't stay in front of anyone

Big shoutout to Stewart for an excellent game on both ends of the ball, credit to Diarra and Solo for sparking the second half run

We miss Liam. We don't have anybody else except Diarra that can beat their man off the dribble so we resort to jacking up threes. Luckily for us we have several excellent 3 point shooters that can get hot at any time

That was tough as a UConn fan, but as a basketball fan that was a really fun game. Credit again to Villanova. We had 3 great opportunities to win it at the end but Nova hung on
