As a Nova fan I feel no sympathy for any of your complaints about Gillespie. You’ve had your fair share of players get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. The biggest one being Shabazz who was constantly rewarded for flopping. Anytime someone breathed on him he’d whip his head back and get a cheap foul called.

Great players take advantage of what the refs give them. And like some of your smart fans have been saying, the refs won’t call it against Gillespie so you better get used to it

He learned that from Kemba. :)

Asking generally to the board, why is the arm bar never called a foul? In soccer they teach kids at a young age to do that and as long as you just keep your arm out in the same possession and not push by extending the arm further, it is not called a foul. Is it similar in basketball or is that a foul? Would seem to be a foul just as much as using any other part of your body to create space.

Completely different from jabbing the defender with an elbow or extending a forearm.
