That’s the thing I’m encouraged by, staying within ourselves. The past two games we’ve taken good 3s and haven’t relied on them. I never feel comfortable when a UConn team takes 20 plus 3s. 12-14 is a perfect number, taken by the right guys too. Defense is becoming the team’s identity too.

Carlton did a great job avoiding foul trouble in the second half, and ended up having 10 points. Keep developing this kid. He has touch, he boards, and can block shots.

What is crazy is that this is only the 2nd time a UConn big has reached double digit scoring this year (Diarra had 11 vs Columbia).

Still not sold on a big enough turnaround that we have a chance to make the touney. I mean wins against league worst ECU, offensively challenged UCF at our home and Tulane don't inspire a full turnaround. Good win but I think the next 6 games will tell how good we really are. I mean @Memphis, Villanova, @SMU, @Temple, @UCF and Cincy. If we can go 3-3 then I can say we have an outside chance of doing something this season.

Also, it is good to see KO being active all 40 minutes. Watching him in person glued to the bench against Auburn even in the beginning was embarrassing. Maybe he realizes that these young kids feed off his energy.
