They are not a good offensive team, and they don't have much size.
agreed. people point to the ND or Duke games as proof of how good kentucky is. i'd love to see them play again as those games were early in the season. plus KEntucky just lost to an average LSU team (sort of like UCONN losing to Villanova), and they haven't been winning by much. they had very close wins over Georgia, SCar and Florida. and the worst team in the SEC by a proverbial mile (Alabama) came within 14 of Kentucky. i'd say they've been skating by on very thin ice lately.

anyhoo, tenn running away with the game. 10 fouls for Ky and 4 for Tenn. on paper it will look like a great win for tennessee and their fans will jump up and down and say "we're back". mm hmm. :)

TN has no choice but to go zone, because they have players that can't defend one on one. But nothing special about the zone, it's just that KY can't shoot.

you seem very objective. :)

Not only can't they shoot, but the shot selection is horrible

OK, didn't see the other thread when I made my post. What a terrible mistake. Maybe if I make 3600+ posts I can redeem myself.
There were three going at the same time.

Clearly they can't guard 1-1. It's been an issue all year. And UK is not known for it's 1/2 court offense in dealing with a zone, are they?

So, where do you disagree?

I looked at the UK-Duke thread on the vol site, and some clown said that they would take Bishop (i guess she's the freshman center) over Williams. I wouldnt mind playing them again, we are a better team now.

The empire is striking back.

Agreed they are talented and capable but one would think it's very easy to get up for this game. Going forward they have to exhibit some consistency.

And they have to play better on the road. That's where they have problems, not in Knoxville.

i totally agree. frankly i was surprised you guys lost to them in the first place, but you are a very young team. and i don't recall if that was before or after you lost Wells for the year (it was Wells right?). btw that whole situation is so odd - she's not enrolled in school now? do you realistically expect her to be back? anyhoo, i agree - being a young team, you guys had a lot more room for improvement and growth during the year. watch out next season when/if you get Wells and Hensen back, not to mention uber guard Jones from Texas...

I've only seen the game since the start of the 2nd half, but it seems to me that KY is exposed. THIS is defense?

Millen does not seem to have any idea how to get his team to run an offense against the zone.

Johnson with the elbow again. Unintentional of course.

Hard to judge the "Real" Kentucky off this performance. Any team that gets that far behind that early is usually shellshocked and doesn't play their normal game the rest of the way. It will be interesting to see a third game between the two if they meet in the SEC Tourney. Where is it, in Nashville this year?

not sure if any of you watched the TN/KY game in KY but the refs were even worse than the UCONN/Lousiville
was disgraceful how awful they were.
