USF GAME THREAD

UConn is just a horrible matchup for their team this year. USF is short, and their guards aren't fast. So they can't dominate the interior either on offense or defense, and our guards can keep up with them easily on defense, and go around theirs on offense.
They can shoot the rock but ....

Urgh. Crystal Dangerfield has a little to much "me" in her game at times. I don't think Geno will be as effusive in praising her in the future.
He's seen that a lot and still praises. He's projecting for next year when he's completely done breaking her down and building her back up.:-)

South Florida now outscoring Katie Lou Samuelson for the first time in the game…

Also, UConn's 16 3-pointers is the third-highest total in school history.

With Mater Dei eliminated from the HS playoffs, Lou had the Mater Dei hoops shipped to Mohegan Sun Arena.
They will be at Gampel next weekend, followed by Bridgeport.
How we get them to Dallas will be a bit difficult.

KLS reminds me of Doug Collins of the sixers. At 6-6 and being a guard, he was a rare sight in that Era. He was slight of build but as tough as nails.

Dangerfield has been really out of this game from a mental standpoint. Really the only concerning thing.

Lord have mercy.... smh! Well I think this was a very fitting way to end the season. Plain old domination... UConn style.

Well I don't think anybody has a chance of beating UConn if they shoot like that. Not so easily duplicated though.

Baskets in the Paint Final
USF 10 (2-2-2-6)
19 (7-6-5-1)

By the way UConn looked a bit like Oregon State scoring only 7 points in the 4th quarter.

This kills me: TV types keep asking, "Who can beat UConn?" And the answer is always something like, "Baylor, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Texas, Maryland or Florida State." Now...let me think. What do all these potential Husky-slayers have in common? Let me help out: They ALL lost to UConn already this season.

Until somebody beats the Huskies, the answer to who can beat UConn really is, "Nobody."

What do you want them to say?

No one, don't bother to watch?
