Dawn was also on Stephen Colbert earlier this week and I thought her interview was insightful. Good sense of humor, especially when sharing the story of how she was hired at Temple.
She’s been on Good Morning America, The View, Stephen Colbert, The Breakfast Club….she’s making the rounds. The book is very good BTW.

Piggy backing on UCLA??? Geez....that seems strange.

I'm no UCLA fan. I'm just reporting the news. Kinda slow around these parts (thread). Brutal way to lose on Saturday. Great season nonetheless.

Sadly, that game ended with a leadoff walk and a 2 out, walk off HR. Deja vu happened to Tennessee today up 3 to 1 against 4x defending champion Oklahoma. The LV’s also walked the leadoff batter and OU ended it with a 3 run walk off to deep center. Bad things usually follow when you walk the leadoff. :(

I was following that game on the ESPN tracker and was thinking y'all were headed to the world series ( for maybe the first time) then boom.

In a way, you can thank Duke for your new softball coach. ;)

Would seem to me that Madina Okot's two years at a Kenyan university without NIL opportunities are clearly analogous to those denied NIL opportunities in JUCO, but it is discouraging there are no reports the point has yet been made to the NCAA.

I pretty much assumed she would have multiple years despite the "Junior" classification at MSU, but our compliance department has long been much more deferential to the NCAA's interpretations than is healthy for a school that takes athletics seriously. Need to get on this.

Haven't listened to the entire podcast, but this tidbit was interesting. I like Coach Staley's perspective on impact.

Boston and Cardoso lead the WNBA in field goal percentage. In last night's game, those two led the WNBA in daily scoring. Kamilla is leaving to join her Brazilian national team tonight for the WNBA break.

I'm starting to see news reports that South Carolina and UConn won't be playing each other during the regular season this year. That's interesting if true. I wonder what happened.

There’s a thread on the UConn main board. It’s being reported in Connecticut and SC papers. The thread has numerous posts about Dawn chickening out /which is to be expected/ but they fail to mention that there was a foreshadowing of this by a Connecticut article a month ago that hinted at non renewal due to the Big East adding two extra conference games this coming spring. Of course, we added two extra SEC teams (Texas and Oklahoma) last year to our Spring calendar.

I will miss the annual game. I think the game of wbb will miss the million eyeball games each year/ though they could be made up for by UConn v Tennessee and USC v U$C.

But let’s remember that four of the last five final fours have had the two teams. Thus, there is a high probability, if not a likelihood, that we’ll meet again soon.

Alas, late January and early February is a bit less anticipated. :(

If I witnessed this twice in one season, I'd be opting out as well ;)

While it's nice to see Chloe's boyfriend wearing some Toronto Tempo gear here with our infamous super-fan, let's not get ahead of ourselves projecting draft selections. ;)

While watching the NBA draft I kept on thinking about Toronto drafting her in the first round. If they follow the same formula as last season, Toronto and Portland will have the #5 and #6 picks in the draft. Without knowing all the draft landscape, 5-6 in the draft feels about right for Kitts. I could see it being a plausible scenario.

I'm all for this if it's actually possible, but these types of posts don't help matters. :D

I just watched an early draft video after making this statement. Kitts wasn't mentioned as a first rounder in that video, so maybe she'll be taken by Toronto in the 2nd? IDK...Kitts is a hard prospect to predict.

I think she’s definitely a first rounder. She has good size and athleticism, a high motor and it’s clear she works her butt off to have improved as much as she has. Her face up game is solid and she’s good passer. Also 1-2 years younger than the other prospects since she came to SC early. I’d put her 7-10 range if I’m a GM.

Have to see what happens next year obviously, but at present I'm not sure her ceiling is higher than Kiki.

Same kind of tweener game and size issues, but not as athletic.

But maybe she ends up being a better offensive version if it's a monster year. She does have a little more post game, maybe. Particularly if she continues getting stronger.
