with support of 6' 4", 6' 3", and 6' 3" China does have more then " adequate" guard = note
below few turnovers and high asist to TO ratio. and their 3 point shooting in near that of USA
and FG % China 57 % USA 49. 6 % 3 ' % : China 38.3 % USA 40.0 %
assist / TO ratio CHINA 2.9 USA 1.8 ; China 30.5 Assist per game to USA 27 apg
China is last = " best" in turnovers, CHina is # 1 in rebounds 38 per game to USA 32.5
Blocks CHINA 9 USA 10, So... I see USA winning with the return of the "ACES" ( with their
rested legs) ... also with the tenacious USA defense.... but I'll take the 20 points and
I see China moving into the next round as the #3 seed overall and the # 2 seeding in that
half of the bracket in the Quarterfinal round. The other two seeded teams in the quarterfinals
being Canada and Australia?? with Belgium being the 5th option/alternate. Let the games

China has started by playing the two 0-2 teams in the group while USA has started by playing the two 1-1 teams. USA will have two 'cupcakes' to finish the group stage.

Defense absolutely smothered China in 2Q Time for some US subs in 2nd Half.

Half USA 44 - China 25. Coach Reeves is using a DEEP bench to
run, run, run... and the Chinese are getting tired! Some extra fouling
due to fatigue by the Chinese. But the twin
towers of China are a good tag team. # 12 and # 9 for China hit
for threes. USA was shooting 60 % from three-point land while
missing some open shots. Also, some missed bunnies by USA.
A. Thomas is a BEAST. China is exceptionally good, but, so far, the
USA with too many weapons. Nice ball sharing by the USA
players. I suspect, whoever wins tonight, that these two teams could meet
again in the Finals. One team will be # 1 on one side of the
Semifinal bracket, the other team the number two seed in the other bracket
But there is still 20 minutes to go! Go USA!!!

China is impressive. It's downright scary how much they've improved in the last 10 years or so. Their skill level, court IQ and team awareness have progressed light years.

Lots of significant contributors for USA, but I can't emphasize enough how impactful Alyssa Thomas has been. I was unsure how her game would translate at this stage, but she had 5 steals, 5 assists, 8 rebounds and 12 points. Led the team in minutes, steals and assists.
