Is there anybody on the Boneyard, or any other Yard for that matter, who hasn't thought this for quite some time? 😉There is no doubt that Paige will become a permanent fixture on USA basketball’s senior national team, . . .
You’re telling me that Paige is not top 3 in blocks? Paige did have a really nice block yesterday against one of PR’s bigs.
Is Griner still going to be playing she getting a little older and seemed loke her minutes were limited in the WnbaThere is no doubt that Paige will become a permanent fixture on USA basketball’s senior national team, particularly since Sue is running the show, It will be interesting to see the team’s makeup when Stewie, Wilson, Boston, Pheesa?, Griner? are added back to the roster.
Each category is pretty close except rebounds with Angel and assists with Clark
That’s my observation too. But on USA Basketball, I see Griner as a backup for Wilson and/or Boston which makes her a pretty effective reserve for 10-15 mpg.Is Griner still going to be playing she getting a little older and seemed loke her minutes were limited in the Wnba
What... No Paige Blockers??

I didn't have any issues on FiOS.Tried to watch the game on TruTv and the picture quality on Optimum was horrendous, Anyone else have this problem yesterday? Totally blurry.
Perhaps she consulted with Lady Vol coach Kim Caldwell on hockey line substititions. 😜She’s mixing up her lineups from game to game to see which combinations work best. Paige & CC we’re on the court together in Game 1. Game starters really don’t matter all that much as Kara is typically splitting 5-player rotations fairly evenly in each qtr.
God I hope not. 😱Perhaps she consulted with Lady Vol coach Kim Caldwell on hockey line substititions. 😜
Kara has had the team for a few weeks so she’s got to figure out the best lineups for certain situations on the fly. I don’t know what Caldwell is doing.Perhaps she consulted with Lady Vol coach Kim Caldwell on hockey line substititions. 😜
Not to mention the fact that Kara is doing all of this while still doing her “day job” getting Duke ready for the Big Dance.Kara has had the team for a few weeks so she’s got to figure out the best lineups for certain situations on the fly. I don’t know what Caldwell is doing.
Please don’t turn this into a Tennessee thread

As this current slate of games don't count for the US, Kara is experimenting with different lineups. Pretty cool that she has this chance to do so, without any impact to qualifications for future tourneys. She’s mixing up her lineups from game to game to see which combinations work best. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does when the US plays Spain. As this current slate of games don't count for the US, Kara is experimenting with different lineups. Pretty cool that she has this chance to do so, without any impact to qualifications for future tourneys.
Paige’s pull-up in the lane is absolutely unique...
(not an original thought)
But on full display today
Caitlin is all the way back.
Jovana's full year numbers look like she is meant to be a Husky: points, assists and steals. We all know about OV but not so much about J. Pop. It looks like we are adding someone who can step in immediately and contribute. Could there be a better group of guards in the country (KK, Ash, K9, AZ, Kelis and JP) ? I don't think so. and that doesn't even count Morgan who can play at the 1-4 .From MSN on Olivia and Jovana..
Griner is a shell of herself. I dont think she has another Olympics run in her. She is not a good defender anymore. Wilson/Boston should be the 5's for the next Olympics. We'll see who else emerges in the mean time.Good suggestion. That might depend on whether Griner is available for one more Olympic cycle. But Betts on USA basketball does fit with a pattern of considering recent college players for the last spot on the team.
