Stewie turned into a blocking machine late in this game
Indeed. Geno just walked up to the seated Dee and Sue and talked to them briefly without giving away any sense of concern or compassion. Maybe, maybe, maybe, just a tweak.Send positive energy Sue's way gang. Let's not jump the gun.
And too short. Don't forget too short.Fatigue for the other guys.
Did you see the play vs. Serbia towards the end where she got the ball in the post, elbowed the Serbian player in the jaw and actually stopped playing for about 2 seconds - clearly she thought she committed her 5th foul and was waiting for the whistle. When it didn't come, she resumed her steam roll to the basket to score a bucket...
REALLY hope Sue's OK View attachment 14995
Nice, but Stewie looked bad during the 1st half: on offense+defense.Stewie!!!
...as already demonstrated in today's game after Sue left. My concern is for Sue, not the team.No problem for USA, DT is a natural and will run this team and make the other players better doing it.
Is the boat equipped with MRI?According to ESPN, Sue Bird injured her knee. Nothing more specific yet.
Has DT said she's NOT going to Tokyo 2020?
When you're top 5 in the world at age 34, seems possible to be back at 38.
Teresa Edwards played in the wnba at age 40 so it's not unheard of.
Obviously injuries and just general aging are the issue, but I can see DT, more so than others, continuing to play as long as she can run up and down the court. And the 2020 guards could certainly use some mentoring.
And maybe the last couple of shots is why Augustus is on the team!![]()
I think DT and probably Whalen will have to do their mentoring at the WC's. DT could have the Catchings role in 2020. Maybe.Has DT said she's NOT going to Tokyo 2020?

Agree, Sue is having a great tournament and I am wishing for the best and sending good vibes that she can continue....as already demonstrated in today's game after Sue left. My concern is for Sue, not the team.
