Late in the first halves, ESPN has Rutgers ahead of Louisville, and South Florida ahead of Notre Dame!

ND behind 35-32 at the half. Post-game hangover?

The Louisville-RU score isn't as big a surprise. RU has a ton of talent and will beat anyone that assumes a win over the Scarlet Knights will be easy.

South Florida and ND tied up at 61 with about a minute and a half to go

Just discovered that RU-Lou on CBS SportsNet.

Schimmel hits an oft-kilter runner to tie the game at 52 with :07 to go. Then Rutgers with a very lazy throw, and Louisville stole the inbounds, but the player tries to run out the clock, thinking Schimmel hit a 3.
Bizarre.
Looks like it's going to OT.

things still tied in this other game, seconds to go, ND with possession.

As is ND vs. USF going to OT

Notre Dame with the "Let-down" effort. What a shock

Lou comes out and hits two 3s. Up 6 with 3:30 to go.

Now up 8 with :60 to go.
Since Rutgers typically needs 10 minutes to score 8 points, I'd say this one is done.

Still a good effort for RU to go to OT at a top 20 opponent.

Meanwhile, #21 Oklahoma St leads #17 Kansas 44-35
and unranked Utah over #23 Colorado 40-38.

Good effort by us. However the 29 to 2 FTA was terrible. Horrible refs.

ND shot 36.8% from the floor and 20% from the arc. They should have done that on Saturday.

Here's a thought--ND gave us their absolute best shot and won by only 1. Maybe, just maybe.

My brother was at the USF game, said they almost pulled it out but one of their bigs - one of the Smith twins, fouled out early in OT. He also said that even the ND fans who came were giving USF props. They had - for USF -a big crows, over a thousand. (Only time they sell out is for UConn...)

I take a few things from this - Notre Dame can be challenged by more teams than just us...and maybe we better not overlook anyone either.

And if we can score some reasonable tix, I'll go to the USF game on March 1 in a heartbeat.
