That is what he meant to say. Per the Rivals recruiting link to UConn board, Armstrong tried to commit to UConn and UConn has told him he has to get his grades in order before they can accept his verbal.

someone mentioned on the Armstrong thread that he's homeschooled, but plays football on the same team as Green. it could just be some kind of technicality or something if that's the case. i don't know what's involved in homeschoolling, but i imagine there could be some difficulties in determining his "grades".

This is very much right on. It varies state by state, too. I was homeschooled in CT, but went to a school in OH. I had a few issues just sorting out specific class requirements and grades. If that is the issue, I shouldn't think it would take forever.
(hopefully, it is only that!)

Now go out and get at least one more RB & another QB. Cannot ever have enough depth . . . injuries, not panning out as advertised (gee, that never happens), the lack of decent incumbents (in adequate numbers) already in the program, etc. Get playmakers and more playmakers.

Thanks for the update. I'll bet he's glad PSU wasn't his choice! I guess we'll see about those that did....and had UConn high on their list very soon. Just a tragic situation for all...and I don't mean Joe P. He had his chances to deal with the news once he was made aware of it. For him, or anyone, to give such a lackluster and minimal response when a situation like this is brought to your attention.... is simply incomprehensible!

Just a sidenote, a lot of people on the recruiting scene in and around DC felt Mike Nebrich should have been a 4 or 5 star. Edsall's legacy.
