Updated 247 Rankings

Top risers in the updated 2023 rankings. Let's see if ESPN agrees when they update their rankings. :)

Solomon Ball | Shooting Guard | Brewster Academy
Previous rank: 84
New rank: 38

Now into the top 40, Ball’s emergence started in the spring and continued throughout the summer. Ball’s physical tools are the first thing that stands out. He has a strong frame, long wingspan, and is an explosive athlete. Ball is a shot maker who plays through contact, gets downhill and finishes strong above the rim with his athleticism. There’s a lot to like in Ball’s game as he continues to excel and improve.

Recruitment: Committed to UConn.

I love recruiting late riser. Means they more than earned it instead of keeping a top-50 rank based on their reputation from freshman year.

Not really worth its own thread, but Reid Ducharme is announcing today between Xavier, Penn State, Syracuse. Sounds like it'll be the Big East for him
Yup. Let's hope he doesn't drop 25 on the Huskies when they play. :)

Weird, they had him at #55 when I posted...

Fwiw SuperJohn (main person I’m assuming this is directed toward) never said Solo was bad that I saw. Just was making a opposite side viewpoint when people would talk about solos ranking.

He wasn’t wrong @ that point in time

Updated Rankings: ESPN Basketball Recruiting - Player Rankings

Stephon Castle: #23
Solo Ball: #50
Jayden Ross: NR
Jaylin Stewart: #97 (way way way too low, but maybe good for us...)

It's laughable how underrated Stewart is. He's better than 70+ of the people ahead of him (not exaggerating). Easily as skilled and productive as Solo and Castle.

Will the posters who freaked out over his composite 247Sports ranking be O.K. now? :)
as one of those who were freaking out- part of the issue was that ball didnt seem to be as underrated as stewart was/is. the reports on ball from our resident scouts e.g. bfield and ricker, seemed consistent with his 100+ ranking. never expected this huge jump as a result.

Unless he commits elsewhere. In that case, he's not nearly as good as Castle, Ball, or Ross

Castle in UA and Ball and Stewart in EYBL were in top five in offensive production this summer. Major reason I want Stewart and am high on this class if he commits.

Sure for the 247 ranking. For the composite Griffiths is #31, Bowen is #33, and Ball is #113.
Trash ESPN rankings dragging him down. They have him as a 3-star. We all know that this is wrong.
