Do we know that Samuelson is a 3-star player? The list stopped at #60, and all of those were 4-star players.
I have been a little surprised with Samuelson's ranking or lack thereof. I though her rep earlier was much higher and was actually wondering if she had any injury issue or something that had dropped her down.

1. Karlie was injured.

2. Her younger is top 5 in the 2015 class Were you thinking of her instead?

You are correct. The word from those supposedly in the know said that "that ship has sailed".

Now, with UNC signing several of the Tennessee targets, they are "hearing" that there is "fluidity" in her recruiting.
I can hear the conversation now. "we didn't want or need you cuz we thought we were going to land Russell, Deshields, Mavunga, Gray, Greenwell, and Scaife. But now that they chose someone else, or seemingly prefer other schools, you are, and have always been, our top target."

Yeah, fluidity, as in a flushing sound. :)

From what I have read Karlie Samuelson had a bad ankle injury and then mono.2 of the times I have watched her, at Nike Nationals going head to head v Greenwell she had 6 threes on her and Insell put an upperclassmen on her to face guard her. At the last viewing tournament she had 9 threes, I missed Geno that weekend, when he was at Mater Dei I was At Redondo and when he was at Redondo I was at Mater Dei watching Russell et al, I was bummed as it is a blast seeing everyone watch him and not the games.

Thanks - I was wondering if she had a setback. I knew the youngest was supposed to be the best, but Karlie had gotten a fair amount of good presser, and then sort of disppeared.

Interesting tweet from Kenny Kalina about new Hoopgurlz rankings: " Just looking at the new rankings 5 kids have no evaluation, only 4 have one in the last 8 months, didnt realize they were slipping like this"

Have to wonder how you can have a rating with no reported evaluation.

I'm not saying his comments are wrong, but keep in mind that there's also some bad blood brewing between Kalina & Hoopgurlz. (It was the HG folks that threw that scout out of the gym, alleging he was affiliated with KK.)

Sounds like it's well beyond the brewing stage, and into open warfare.

I agree Speedoo, all the other services seem to be networking, while the mother ship doesn't seem to want to play with others. There have been a lot of fights over the years, really silly considering what we are talking about but with the economy and the lack of travel funds and tie that into some making money from getting kids to their camps, training and tournaments, you can basically throw the rankings out of the window and follow who the coaches are following. The coaches have way more freindship ties and considering the number of them they see way more players and over and over and they share their information, which I love BTW.

Goodness! Next thing you know, there were will be horrific allegations about such terrible things as message board posts about posters holding signs for recruits, improper lunches with Wendy's with people who weren't even in the country, etc.

Maybe Brandon Clay was just jealous that Bob Corwin was a waiter at a better restaurant.

*please do not miss the low-flying sarcasm plane*

I also don't think the 'evaluations' represent the only times HG sees these kids play. You go to a tournament and their are 500 kids playing over three days or whatever - you're going to be jotting down lots of little notes, but you are probably only going ta create a 'write-up' for 10-20 of them. Doesn't mean you didn't have comments on 100 others - just that they never made it to the 'write-up' stage.
Was it HG that was involved in that little fracas?
