Update on Jana, Ice, and Morgan

If my math is correct, Ice can use 2026-27 as a redshirt year, as she did not play in 22-23, and this year is only her 4th season with the team.
A couple of weeks ago, there was a video on twitter of Chloe kitts going through a shooting drill. And as far as I know; she has already been ruled out for the season.
When I saw that video is when I gave up on Morgan returning for this season.

Kitts tore her ACL three months ago; no way was she ever going to be ready for this season.
Much as I'd love to see Morgan and Ice ready soon, I'm of the opinion that neither should blow a year of eligibility for just the later part of a season. I hope Jana is ready soon, but also hope that she's absolutely 100 % when she comes back.

My mistake! She only played in 2 games. Thought she had played more. She could apply for a medical redshirt.

This is always so tough. We know players on UConn who have come back from injury and been incredible, Paige & Azzi in recent history, though IMO it took Azzi over a year to regain full form.
On the other hand, I'm still hoping to see the old Ducharme and Patterson on the floor.

Bummer about Ice and Morgan. I, too, believe Morgan should red- shirt soon and that Ice files an appeal. Jana came back from the break with a new attitude and an improved game. I hope she is completely cleared soon so she can return to hitting her elbow jumpers and running the floor like a boss.

According to UConn WBB Weekly BOTH Ice and Morgan can claim a red-shirt year if they go the rest of the schedule without playing!

Thanks for the update. A few thoughts...
Still not sure what is wrong with Ice - knee inflammation seems like a by-product of the injury, not the root cause. But we will likely never know. Also, very glad they both can redshirt. TBH, it's mid-January. Even if they are ready to come back, keep them sidelined and save a year of eligibility.
