On the upcoming April BOT agenda. Much needed improvements.

Did you mean to say encampments, enhancements, or enchantments? All would make sense depending on your meaning.

Does this mean we will get a Jumbotron above the center of the court?

Or just replace the existing ones? Those are a pain to look at.

I wonder what the naming rights would go for if they built a new arena. Could be $2 to $5 million per year. Now is the right time to test the waters as you might get a higher bid.

Good for Governor Lamont.
Gampel Pavilion opened in 1990 at a cost of $28 million or $65.3 million in today's dollars, according to wikipedia.

How the heck can we not get a brand new, much nicer facility for under $100 million?

The enhancements noted in the OP was before the potential budget number was significantly increased today. I’m sure the wish list will change.
I still can't imagine what else would possibly be worth spending that kind of money on? We're here to watch basketball, not pyrotechnics.

If I remember right I think there was a plan years ago to add sky boxes but the fire marshal said no.

Destroy it and build new.

But our state loves throwing 10-20M updates every 10 years at old infrastructure.
It's a bad building that for some incomprehensible reason some folks thought was a good idea at the time. It's a limited windowless cylinder. I agree, start from scratch and think big this time. And consult with the fire marshall beforehand.

Be careful what you wish for. After going to the new hockey arena I don’t trust them to build something nice/better. That place is lifeless.

Also knocking down Gampel would be a mistake because of the history we have had there.

$100 million should be enough to fix almost everything wrong with it
