I thought Vinyl did a good job of frustrating Napheesa last night but she still ended up with 19 points on 50% shooting. Hamby was out of the game for personal reasons and both Howard/Ogunbowale had off shooting nights. If Vinyl could have hit their open shots it would have been a very different night.

What a great night of basketball. Both games were really good.
I like the Friday night and Monday night games since there’s usually no good college games on those days.

Loved seeing Aaliyah Edwards play such a big role in the Mist's first victory of the season. Her mobility as a big is well suited to the full-court three-on-three model.

I was excited about her joining for this reason as well. It's great to see her playing with more freedom. It kind of reminds me of her during her Crestwood days.

I don't recall hearing anything about that. Maybe she just feels more physically confident with the mask on? Masked Aaliyah was pretty bad-ass at UConn.

She got bopped in the face in the Mist's last game, went out briefly, and came back in with the padding up one nostril. Nothing too serious, I don't think. But I agree with @hoopsdiva that she might just be feeling the look.

This is why I'm enjoying this league. Seeing these players together in groups we haven't seen before has been a lot of fun to watch. Especially considering some were college rivals.

I've enjoyed watching the games. Fast paced, lots of scoring, takes a minute to understand the different rules, etc. but a really good product.

I'm not invested in any of the teams. The Owls, Phantom, Mist, etc. do not resonate with me. Plus they are not from any "city" (Connecticut Sun, LA Sparks, etc,) so my rooting for them is exclusively based on following UCONN player, or others who I like.

But I think the quality of the basketball is really good and the UCONN alums seem to be thriving...

I love Aaliyah, so I am admittedly biased, but it looks like Stewie got the toughest 8-seed since Jewell and Arike got byes, and Phee has Katie Lou. (You'll always be my girl, Lou, but I’m giving Aaliyah’s all-around game, especially her defense, the nod over yours in this setting.) And there’s no way Aaliyah is the easiest out in this group of 32; given her length and mobility, she might be one of the tougher match-ups for Stewie.

Stewie, you better eat your Wheaties!
