It’s such a unique thing to have, embrace it. Don’t run away from it.

Yeah, that whole rebranding effort didn’t really thrill me.

• We need to have a consistent logo… Well except for baseball… And football.
• We need to get rid of the unique branding and 80 year tradition of having a white husky as our mascot because, as per her quote, Susan Herbst doesn’t believe that there are such things as white huskies.
• We need to rebrand as UConn instead of using the state name because?

With how fired up everybody gets about wearing the throwback “Connecticut” uniforms with the old white Husky just shows that the majority of the people prefer the old over the new. For the longest time, both home and road jerseys had “Connecticut” on the front. Then, in the late 90’s, we went to having “UConn” on the front for the home uniforms, and “Connecticut” on the front of the aways. I thought that was a happy medium.

I actually like the idea of Connecticut home and UConn road (or vice versa). Kind of like many baseball teams do.

The basketball team did this for a while. I want to say from 2001-2010. "UConn" on the home whites, "Connecticut" on the road blues. I'd love to go back to that.
