One way or another it feels like. If we aren't very good it's always disappointing and if we are the real deal it will be disappointing not being able to go after trophies. Lets hope that we play hard all year and get Coach Ollie a long-term deal here. That certainly won't be disappointing.

I prefer Debra I don't mean to be one. Just my personal take on this season. Like I said I won't be disappointed if they play hard all year and get coach locked down. That's what is keeping me optimistic.

Very little is expected from this team from a national perspective. For me personally, I'm hoping they go better than .500 for the season. But it's incredibly exciting to see all the new guys on the team, and to see Ollie start to make his mark. I have a ton of respect for Ollie and even if the team goes 10-20, as long as you see growth from the players over the course of the year, I'll be happy and not disappointed. With so little expected, I find it hard to imagine what would constitute a truly disappointing year...

That's a fair take but my expectations are always Big East titles and Final Fours and without that option it is really disappointing to me. However, one really special thing is that we get/have the chance to just appreciate our team and the game for what it is, which is something that many fans don't have the chance to do because it is always about winning and losing.

Screw what we can't get at the end of the year. I'll be ecstatic if we play like we are right now. Give me a winning Big East season with wins over some of the big boys any day! This team is making me have faith in the UConn athletic program again. Football has completely sapped me of any hope. I need the team to do well to save this athletic season!

Doesn't have to be disappointing. We have about 30 games to totally enjoy. I'll take games like this with no chance of making the tournament over the train wreck of last year any day of the week. team.

Also, this is a perfect season to get Ollie started. Calhoun really did a service to him by stepping down in a season where he can coach with low expectations and room for errors.

Waking up Saturday at 6:30 AM my time to find a way to watch another season of my Huskies' basketball is NOT disappointing. On the other hand, following it with George DeLeone's One and Done offense may be a more challenging, entirely different enchilada.

i'm actually more excited for this season than last year... it's a new start, the players, while not playing for a championship, are playing for pride and to secure their coaches future. there are going to be some rough moments; we're clearly going to struggle a bit on the boards and with interior defense, but i'm excited to watch ollie and this team build a legacy.

Nope, I'm still disappointed because I really, really would have loved to see this team make some noise in the NCAA/Big East Tournaments. Other than that....give Ollie an extension, he is the real deal!

Enjoy your misery. I try not to let things that I can't control get me down. As much as I would like to see us in post season play, I'll enjoy seeing our guys exact as much damage as possible. I'd love to see us ranked as high as possible where our plight will begin to get more and more attention as to how petty and vindictive the NCAA is. Hate those bastards!

You can't control any UConn game but if they lost them all you would be "down." As for the orphanage comment, are you not disappointed that this team can't play in the Big East or NCAA tournament? If you're not disappointed in that you aren't a UConn fan.
