I don't think I've seen a single comment about Nebraska on this board so far this season, despite the fact that ESPN-W has them ranked preseason at #10.

What gives? Are the Huskers for real?

Not sure but I think they are a pretty good story. Back several years ago - 2009 or 2010, they were a top 10 team and made the sweet 16. Kelsey Griffin was their star. They tanked the following year (must have lost a bunch of seniors) but have worked their way back up. I'd say they are the real deal and Yori is a solid coach.

Until they have a signature win against another top 10 team, some people are not going to believe they are for real. Do they play any other top 10 teams? Nebraska does have an excellent coach in Yori.

They play UCLA in game 1, and later @UNC.
Then the B10 sked with 2x vs Mich St and 1 vs Penn st. Oddly, no game vs Purdue.

Without Moore, I don't see them being better than last year. Hooper is great, but not enough to make Nebraska a top 10 team.

I agree with the "point" that it will be hard for them to replace Moore at the 1. She really made them go, even when Hooper was having an off game.

They play Purdue twice, including away the last game of the season.

Are they going to challenge for the final four - doubt it. Are they likely a legitimate top 25'er - sure. Could they be around #10 - possible.
