Uncommitted Top 2022 (Doh!) Prospects

Interesting how many unproven new P5 coaches are attracting recruits compared to established P5 coaches....ND,NC,Duke,Wash.,Vandy,Miss.St. for examples.
Indiana,NC State,Wash.St.,WV,Ala., all made the tournament last year but are struggling by comparison to get recruits.

State is never gonna out recruit its Triangle neighbors.. at least not consistently.

As for Washington State... you can just look at a map to see why they struggle.

Eh, I'm guessing the Penn State coach knew where they stood with her, regardless if she continued to list them in her Top 5. Rarely does a recruit who decommits from a school end up signing with them.

Why is she not liked? I am in the dark about her.
I do think she has made tremendous strides with the UCF program and that will be recognized once they change conference affiliation. Having said that, you know what success at a program like that means for her!

The main reason she's not well liked here is that the last couple of games UCF played against UCONN were pretty ugly. UCF typically plays physical defense and that can make games against teams with more talent closer than they might have been originally.

The problem I think most people have with her is that some feel like that hard defense crossed the line into being dirty (hands made contact to faces during threes, lots of contact, some hoping the refs wouldn't call every foul). I've watched a lot of our games the last several years and the only ones that were played like that were against UCONN so it isn't indicative of how the team typically plays but since that would be the only exposure most people have to the team I understand the dislike. Generally it has just been trying to shut down the other team and clog the lane.

As to being poached, hopefully the move to the Big12 means we can keep her but there's no telling with that.

Perhaps because UCF plays alot like Rutgers did back in the early 00s. Which isn't really odd if you knew that Coach Ab played for Coach Stringer back in the day at Iowa.

Also, I'm rooting really hard for Duke to land Rice. I really like Kara, and Duke was my other team I loved along with Rutgers before GG left for Texas. I'd really like to see Kara get them on that level again.
