When was the last time we beat a team by 40? Genuinely curious if anyone knows the answer. They beat Western Carolina 104-61, a cupcake! Of course UNC looked great.
No they wouldn’tI went to the UNC game last night. Give the current UCONN players to Roy Williams for six months and they would be ranked somewhere between 11 and 20. The passing, cutting, and effort reminded me of the UCONN women. A ballet.

But isnt that the point? That he can get good recruits and win, year after year.Roy Williams has how many high ranked recruits. He's overrated we will never know if he could do anything with these guys he's never had anything less than Top 50 recruits crawling to him so they don't have to take any classes.
Stupid post.

I get the West Carolina part. I was just saying I wish that we were at their level consistentlyNo it's not. UNC and UConn recruiting has typically been apples to oranges. JC certainly in the Big East days had some good ones, different world I'm afraid. Roy's had great players knocking in his door to come wear the powder blue. He should've won a lot more with what's been handed to him.
Now I agree with the generic version of your post, we should be recruiting better/smarter and winning no doubt but to watch UNC vs West Carolina and post this is worthless. Not sure where he was when UNC scored 45 against MSU posting about their "ballet" of an effort? LOL

Yep that and quality pizza reviews. This is the type of insight you just can't get on other message boards.

So no, UNC is not killing us in recruiting, they just develop their recruits.

Not a ton, actually. As @kmacri12 pointed out, we've had higher rated classes than UNC two out of the last three years.Roy Williams has how many high ranked recruits.
UNC is probably not the best comparison. I look at Tennessee who is recruiting a a similar level to UConn at this point. They had more challenging NCAA issues than UConn with Donnie Tyndall and Bruce Pearl and had Conzo Martin bail on them. There team was in the doldrums prior to the hiring of Rick Barnes and their recruiting classes are full of 3-stars. Barnes has them playing with focus and intensity and they have broken into the top 25 with their only loss being to Nova after being up by 12 at halftime.
