Oh, come on with the 50 page thread. Number 1, Uconn is a national power right in our backyard. Number 2, Uconn gave alot of fans, not just Umass, plenty to talk about. Number 3, Umass gave something for you to talk about that wasn't negative at all until the moron joined the conversation. Not to mention, the guy with the NEC comment. Nope, that would never happen. Maybe Fordam, maybe URI but not Umass.

OK Clothy - you have to admit if you are being totally honest that Uconn is brought up on a very regular basis on your board. You said you generally only pop up when Umass is mentioned here. Could you imagine if the same thing happened on the other board? There are times over there that one would think it IS a Uconn board.

Umass is set up for a decent two years coming up. Anything less than an NCAA tourney appearance next season to break the 15 years drought is a disappointment I would think. If i told you 10 minutes after Umass knocked off G'town to get to the Final Four that it would be at LEAST 2013 until they won another NCAA tourney game you never would have believed it. Xavier has a top 15 class nationally, St. Joe's is younger than Umass so I think those schools will be right there too.

I think Umass could even beat Uconn this year possibly.

Chaz Williams and Putney are legit, a lot to handle.

And I'm just not sure how Uconn would match up inside...

Dolson gives Uconn a little size, but after her they are woefully thin up front.

But then Mosqueda-Lewis can knock shots down no problem.

50 pages is a lot of hate, and that was before that yahoo article, so, I'm not sure what UMass had to talk/hate UConn about. But, boy, did they ever!! At least 50 pages of it.
UConn is hated by BC & PC too, but neither of those schools came up with a hate thread that long. At least to my knowledge.
Usually something that long will have a link, similiar to the link Huskymaniac left above. New England has 4 national champions. One for Holy Cross in the late 40's. The other 3 for UConn over the past 13 years. That contributes to the "hate" from the other New England schools.
