I'm not saying he wasn't a big part of the victory (like in the plays you mentioned). I'm just saying that he clearly hasn't been the consistent, breakout star that NBA GMs would want to see before investing a 1st round pick in him.
Ok. Not to step on Inyatkin's lines here, but you're missing his point. So let me attempt to present it to you in a repackaged form.
When you write, "he's coming back," you don't mean to relate to all of us some insight you had during a moment of clarity while rock climbing. You don't mean to provide an assessment that we all can't see for ourselves. You are simply offering insulting words that are a euphemism for the following: "Daniels is not good enough for the NBA right now and is not having the year we expected."
We get it. The point has been made. Then it's been re-made. And made again. We get it.
So for you, and for all the other people who want to indelicately, transparently attack Boat or Daniels this year, and Purvis and Hamilton next year, and whatever other young man comes here to put on the Husky and continue our tradition in some future year, can you please just refrain? That's a 10 cent word that means "stop it." Just stop.
If a guy has a bad game. Say he has a bad game. If he has a disappointing season, say he's having a tough go of it. But please stop throwing out the obvious "not going to the NBA/going to play in Europe" insult under the BS pretext of informing us all of your opinion on a kid's professional prospects.
Don't be that fan.
