UConn's George Springer (I think this is baseball related)

One overlooked aspect to his career is he is like third all time in post season home runs and honestly with like one more run through the playoffs he would have an outside chance of being the best post season hitter of all time

I was hoping that he would have ended up in Boston when he left Houston. Matt Barnes was still on the Sox at the time and they were roommates at UConn.
Thought the way he played that he really fit the 'dirt dog' mentality of the team at the time.

A lot of talent came out of that draft class. I believe that's when Cole went number one and the 1st round included Baez, Lindor, Sonny Gray, Brandon Nimmo, Trevor Bauer, Kolten Wong and the late Jose Fernandez and more.
Mookie Betts, Marcus Semien, Joe Musgrove, JBJ and Trevor Story all went later and there's still a dozen or to 2 dozen guys who had quality major league careers I'm not mentioning.

Springer now has 23 career post season HR's which puts him tied for 3rd all-time.

Definitely rooting for him to get a World Series win now. Such a clutch performer. Wish the Brewers had put up a fight against the Dodgers. That team is just built for fall.

It’s a nice factoid, but honestly it has no historical significance. The expansion of the playoffs (3/5 to 4/7) to also include all the wild card and lds,lcs has really diluted this stat imo

Mantle is only tied for 9th with 18….but they were ALL in the WS…as there was not even an lcs when he played
