Top 6th, Root leads off with a single, he steals 2B with no out. Padilla follows with an RBI double with no out, 6-2 UConn.

Padilla moves to 3B on a sac bunt for the 1st out by Garbowski. Rispoli gets a 2 out RBI single, 7-2 UConn.
 
Bottom 6th, Suchy still on the mound to start the inning. After a leadoff single, Suchy gets the 1st out of the inning, he comes out of the game. Shaw comes in to pitch.

Shaw gives up a 2 run homer to the 1st batter he faces, 7-4 UConn.

After the homer, Shaw gives up a 1 out walk, the runner steals 2B, and walks the next batter. Shaw leaves 2 runners on base. 7-4 UConn.

Cooke was warming up that inning.

MacArthur gets a 1 out walk, Padilla gets a 2 out walk. Garbowski follows with an RBI single that puts runners on the corners, 9-4 UConn.

I had purchased FloTrack because I'm a huge T&F guy - but it is nice because you get the totality of all of the Flo sports universe with it. If you use it at all it is 100% worth it - can't find this stuff anywhere else.

No surprise that Cooke has a chance to finish up this game on the mound.

Cooke did the same thing last season getting on the right track after a bad start to the season. It would be nice if Van Emon could do the same thing this season.

Ellisen gives up a 1 out 2 run homer, 3-0 Xavier, going to the next inning.

A 2 out double puts 2 runners in scoring position, and a walk loads the bases. Ellisen comes out of the game, Abbadessa takes the mound.

Abbadessa gets a foul out to end the inning with no more runs coming in. 4-0 Xavier.

I expect that sooner or later dinner will be calling me, so that will conclude my inning by inning postings for this game when that happens. Maybe in a half hour or so.
 
Top 3rd, the UConn offense loads the bases with 3 singles with no outs. A fielders choice ground out for the 1st out by Rispoli drives in a run putting runners on the corners. 4-1 Xavier.

Root has a fielders choice ground out for the 2nd out which drives in a run, 4-2 Xavier.

A 2 out single by Minick puts runners on the corners. That is it for the UConn offense this inning. 4-2 Xavier.

I'm wondering that with Cooke now pitching well after his bad start to the season, if he might replace Ellisen in the weekend starting rotation. As always, we'll see what happens.

With 1 out, Abbadessa gives up a double. After a ground out for the 2nd out on which the runner moves to 3B, Abbadessa comes out of the game, Charlie West takes the mound.

West strikes out the 1st batter he faces to end the inning. 6-2 Xavier.
