We are definitely on the short end of some close calls today.

I've been trying to listen to the game while working today. Chris Jones will comment when there is a bad call, but he has really been complaining about the umpiring in this series, especially today. Jones is really on a roll with the complaints today.

Bottom 6th, Colby Dunlop making his first appearance in a game since who knows when. Hold your breath and hope for good things.

One thing I've noticed is that Coach Penders has been doing a lot more lefty-righty matchups with the pitching this series, much more so than he has done in the past. Some of it may be that he is trying to nurse young pitchers like O'Donnell and Coe along before they get anything resembling a bigger role. I wonder if Dunlop will start being more of a righty specialist as well after doing okay today.

Stock has been tossed from the game, Maycock takes his place in the outfield. Chris Jones not at all happy with the umps today.

Sounds like both coaches have had enough of the umps today.

I could be wrong, but this could be Crawford's first multi inning stint on the mound in a game as a Husky.

To state the obvious, Kyler Fedko has been on an outrageous run over the past month... on a completely different level.

This might be the craziest conference series that I have witnessed since I started to closely follow UConn baseball.

My goodness, some very very questionable baserunning today.
The questionable baserunning is Penders' hallmark. It's been going on since he began. It's not the players.

It's on the players, but I do agree that Penders has always had an overly aggressive approach. Hey, at least he is consistent. For example, Winkel getting doubled off second on a routine fly ball out to left. That's just one where you shake your head and say what the heck was he thinking and that's on the player and in most cases it is.
