To my shock, YouTube carried the Xavier game live. I couldn't believe it. The fellow who flips the "Not Available for Streaming" button must have lost his finger (or his mind). That's the sorta good news; the bad news was the game itself. I finally turned it off when Xavier hadn't scored its 10th point into the 3rd qtr. Geno could easily subbed in the entire cheerleading squad to play Xavier.
On the upside, everyone not only eats but stuffs oneself. I was pleased to see Allie Ziebell flash signs of why she was a highly rated hs player. Past Huskies have said that practices at UConn are tougher than the games themselves, but this game was in the realm of ridiculous.
Anyone for the Mercy Rule?
There are lessons here from Geno, his intuitive sense, Azzi for instance. No words just a breather, sense of how to best develop and get more from his team. I often ask myself during a game why the heck did he do that, scratch my folicaly challenged head, wait a few seconds and it becomes clear why. He is the goat!
