Hey Guys!

Wanted to see if y'all might could help me out ... I have a weird collection -- I like to collect media guides from a variety of schools. Most of them I have obtained thru other people or bought off eBay. I have a good majority of the UConn Women's media guides already but am still missing quite a few. Wanted to see if anyone might have them they may want to sell or know of anywhere I might could find them. Below are the years I am missing:

**All seasons before the 1988-89 season (really only want the ones since the Geno/CD era)

-1990-91
-1994-95
-2005-2006

**All after the 2007-2008 season

Thanks so much!

I admire your lunacy!

Seriously, I love it when someone gets a bug on a simple topic and becomes a maven on the subject.

Have you thought of starting a web site (sorta like Nan's recruiting site) and letting the world share your treasure? You may even find some of your missing editions through fans looking at your site! Be sure to get someone to help you who has created at least a couple of other web sites so you can get an idea of his/her abilities.

Just remember, your first go-round doesn't have to be the last version, either. You know, I'm spring cleaning now, so I'll keep my eyes peeled in case I have any I can send you.

So I guess this is one of those "insured for 10 billion dollars" plastic covered type of collections and you can't print them double-sided on high quality stock from the UConn archives for post 2002-03 years? You realize that if you do get all of those early guides squared away, the more geekish BYers will be pestering you instead of Phil to look up who had the best assist/TO ratio during the second half of conference games in 1988-89?

I don't even know if they still print them, I thought they had stopped. I have some of the printed ones, but I have no duplicates, so I cannot help your collection.

If she puts 'em on a web site, deranged Boneyarders can page through them for themselves. Problem solved. Or a s Clouseau would say. "Sol-ved."

Except she cannot put them on a web site. They have hundreds of pages, which would have to be scanned, and that is a violation of copyright.

I think she is looking for the dead tree versions.

I see I have a West Virginia from 2011-12, so not everyone has stopped printing them. Maybe UConn still prints them, but I don't think I have any after 2009.

From what I was told, they only print very limited editions now -- and they are mainly for members of the media, but eventually they do make their way around. UConn is my main collection, though I do have a number from NC State, Duke, Baylor, Tennessee and a few others. One of my favorite ones I acquired was, what I initially thought to be a late 80s one from Duke -- it turned out to be all four years when Katie Meier (head coach of Miami) was a player at Duke and all the books were autographed. I was very surprised! But, I have pondered putting some online, but it would take a ton of scanning, since like Phil said, many are hundreds of pages in length. The ones from the 80s are fairly thin.

Check eBay. I swear you can find anything there.
