2023 Team Recruiting Rankings | Hoopseenw
UCONN with the # 5 Incoming Recruiting Class for the 2023/2024 season. #1 thru #4 just doesn't seem right?
Ignore. Come on. Prosper the #1 over JUJU and Williams? ok. lol2023 Team Recruiting Rankings | Hoopseenw

The rating does not reflect a ranking for Jana. If it did, we would be higher, but it looks like the strong are getting stronger to the point that there might only be 4-6 actual NC contenders over the next few years. I'm glad we will be one of them.2023 Team Recruiting Rankings | Hoopseenw

I think they're also the #1 class precisely for us. The way they will mesh with who we already have is really striking.Gotta say the only real rankings are on the Boneyard. El Alfy imo is top 2 and she aint 2. Why because Geno imo knows more and has known more for a very long time. There used to be only a few people who knew what was going on in WCBB and now there are more and the majority of them are on the Boneyard. EL Alfy KK Ashlynn and Q are the number 1 class and even a blind man can see that. Understand you recruit positions you need to fill with the best players you can get. Geno seems to get alot more then any other team.
However, you will have to factor in the size of the class as well. If a class has 4 or 5 players and another class has 2 then you can't just use average rankings. The simple way to rank the best recruiting class would be to take the players rank totals and average them out to get Avg Rank for class... hey it's as good as any other method out there.
With the above metrics, this would look like as follows;
T#1 ND and UConn tied for first (not including Jana) with an average rank of 13,
#3 Arizona (avg rank 14.66)
#4 South Carolina (avg rank 25.5)
#5 Stanford (avg rank 27.33)
#6 LSU (avg rank 27.75)
#7 NC State (avg rank 32.75)
#8 North Carolina (avg rank 41.75)
#9 USC (avg rank 45.5
#10 Duke (avg rank 55)
....didn't bother with the other 15 teams
But...isn't an "average" just an "average" of the items in the set under consideration? However, I agreeHowever, you will have to factor in the size of the class as well. If a class has 4 or 5 players and another class has 2 then you can't just use average rankings.
Indeed. While we are strengthing our team with uber-talented players, so are other top 25 teams. LSU, Notre Dame, Stanford, and of course South Carolina and all the other top 15 programs all compete for the same recruits. No program can recruit all the best players every year. The rating does not reflect a ranking for Jana. ........in a heartbeat!!!Yes not including Jana makes a big difference.........I'd take UConn's four recruits over any of the other school's recruiting classes...........
Average rank isn't a good way to measure classes. For example by that measure we shouldn't have added Q, our average rating would have been better without her. If we added any other players worse than number 13 but still good that would be a plus but our average rating would decrease. The simple way to rank the best recruiting class would be to take the players rank totals and average them out to get Avg Rank for class... hey it's as good as any other method out there.

On the other hand, if you had a single "2" and I had 2 "3s". You average out to a 2 and I average out to a 3. But what would you rather have? I rather have 2 "3s".I think LSU and UConn tied for #1. I’d rather have 2 great players than 5 good players.if you recruit 2 great players every year that’s your rotation right there.
Nope because if USC only signed Juju, you would have to rank them number 2, although they only signed one player? The simple way to rank the best recruiting class would be to take the players rank totals and average them out to get Avg Rank for class... hey it's as good as any other method out there.

Sometimes you only need the one. So you saying USC did not sign #89 Malia Samuels? Another reason for not caring what school signed the top class....omissions and "extra" recruit added to list for schools, if they did not sign. What's interesting is that HoopGurlz has Malia Samuels ranked at #49, big difference than #89 of HoopseenW.Nope because if USC only signed Juju, you would have to rank them number 2, although they only signed one player?

Yet, that is also imperfect because you are only including the rankings average for one service. ASGR. To get a clear picture, you need to also include Hoopgurlz and Prospect NTiin - at least. Maybe even BlueStar and Prepgirls. The simple way to rank the best recruiting class would be to take the players rank totals and average them out to get Avg Rank for class... hey it's as good as any other method out there.
